Default Fictional deaths you've never got over

After Brian from Family Guys death this week what other fictional deaths have you been gutted about? Personally I still mourn Drogo's death in Game of Thrones and of course Dumbledore falling from the tower in Harry Potter

John Wayne in The Cowboys. I was shell shocked as a kid as never seen him die in a film before, thought that man was indestructable.

The entire crew in Blake's 7

Omar in The Wire (knew it was coming though)

    Hank in Breaking Bad

    Rita in Dexter

and David Essex at the end of Silver Dream Racer

The two hounds at the end of "Where The Red Fern Grows." I read that in 6th grade for the first time and, as I typed that first line, I got choked up.

E.T. the alien, Mufasa in the Lion King, Littlefoots mom in the land before time, and even Bambi's mother. Those were all so cruel to children. Humanized cartoon animals or creatures dying is much more emotionally scarring than real people, it's not even close.

It sucked when Maximus died. TV wise when they revealed Dan Conner died at the series finale of Roseanne. And Shane Walsh in the Walking Dead.

When christopher walken shoots himself playing the Russian roulette in The Deer Hunter..

I was a kid when I first watched it but that scene stuck with me for a very long time and turned me into an instant fan of walken...

The toughest fictional death I remember was when Elvis "died". I have to say I'm still "all shook up" about it.

When Bruce Lee died I remember a lot of people saying he faked his death, but I never believed that.

Okay; I don't believe that Elvis is alive, either.

"Where the Red Fern Grows", "Old Yeller" and "The Yearling" were all tough. I guess maybe I'd have to go with "The Yearling" if I could only go with one, but it's been a long time since I've seen them.
