The pounding Broner took will end his career by March 2014. He aint no Joe Frazier-chin. He is ruined by those body shots. Probably retire by March. Alot of hot air he was. Doesnt throw enough punches and blocks punches with his face.

Short-lived fighter. Reminds me of David the American Dream Reid. Bye Bye Adrian.

I hope not. I'm glad he lost and never liked some of his antics in and out of the ring, especially his disrespect for other fighters, but I always thought he was a very good to great fighter.
I absolutely want him to keep fighting, and if he can fight more and talk less, I can see myself cheering for him.
I don't think he'll stop fighting and I don't think he'll stop running his mouth but he might start showing respect to other fighters and then I could cheer him on once in a while.
I don't think he has to change the way he fights but he should drop back down for a while.
In the back of my mind I keep wondering what would have happened if that Maidana fight had been a 15 round affair. A totally irrelevant question but I keep wondering.

    Shock-Brock

People need to get real. With all the slamming going on Broner its hard to find anything objective. Its getting a tad lame. He got beat and he's a right prick who deserved every punch in the eyes of many but unless he has collapsed mentally, its one fight and it merely knocked him off his pedestal and gave him a reality check.

    Some good points brock.

Not enough credit was given to maidana for his visious body shots!

I think the 9th round was the round that mentally and physically beat broner.

Broner is still talented and a great fighter but untill his next we have no idea how this has effected him..

Broner looked good at lightweight, he should have gone to light welter , to me he's no welter
at this moment in time, he is a talent and he is a cock. If he cut out the BS people may
just take to the guy, he can fight but he could do with a personality transplant.

What's significant about March I'm not saying he's ready for the scrap heap at all but he does have big deficiencies and a self sabotaging approach. Unless he revamps I don't see him going very far. Also he can't hold a candle to the natural boxing ability David Reid had, busted eye or no busted eye.

This is the big decision that al haymon or golden boy have to make..what weight is he going too?

I havent seen any "about billions" youtube videos yet on broner so im sure he will take a looong think and come back better and possibly less cocky.

Never understood why people consider Broner to be anything more than a slightly better than average fighter. That kind of retarded marketing must somewhere have an actual target audience? Don't want to sound racist but all he ever does is coon, and its fucking sad that this actually gets him attention when there are so many better fighters out there from all kinds of different countries and backgrounds who just focus on actually doing their job - fighting. You don't have to look far for these real talents either, one of them just beat the shit out of him last fight. He might be able to make a positive change but its becoming painfully clear that he's actually also fallen victim to his own shitjob and that will truly spell his doom. If he keeps up with the charade this clown will end up on the street incoherent, broke and still fucking mumbling about how his Floyd Mayweather's little bro. He'll probably be "hustling" for change to make calls to the same fucking number Floyd gave him twenty years ago and subsequently changed once he realized this kid wants his ass. If he does drop the act he'll throw a few more punches and start circling, fight on for a few more gradually declining paydays, get beat a few more times and fade into the obscurity that he truly deserves and is so afraid of.

Spicoli is easily one of the most consistent and considered posters on boxing here. In virtually every fight thread he will make coherent and measured comment that reveals a deep understanding of both the mechanics and history of the fight game. He has a turn of phrase up there with Bert Sugar with his own anarchic twist that is far more incisive and funnier than the official clowns commentating from network tv. You on the other hand Julius turn up once in a blue moon to call everyone a fag and talk about sucking dick with an unhealthy Pacquiao obsession that is borderline stalking and then you proceed to tell anyone with something constructive to say to STFU

I say March because now he will celebrate the hlidays with whoever, and take it easy until about end of Jan, at which point if he is going to ever fight again he will have thought for about a month about the pounding to the kidneys----ouch!!!! did anybody see those brutal fucking right hands he took to the spleen/kidneys/etc....?----- I think those body shots ruptured something, I cant believe those rights to the kidney area when Broner would miss a left hook (trying to copy Mayweather like an ass) Maidana would fucking SLAM a right hand full force from up out of a crouch right smack on the kidney holy fucking shit those were destructive shots that nobody paid much attention to.

March because he will, like a bully and a cocky loud mouth, completely fold emotionally when he reflects about this pounding. Just like a cocky bully would do. FOLD. I mean where is he gonna come back---147? 140? He aged/took a pounding that night that will ruin him, like how Ali and Frazier ruined each other for good on March 8, 1971. TRUST ME, ADRIAN BRONER IS FUCKING DONE.

We'll have to wait and see I guess. The beating Maidana gave him takes a lot out of you physically for sure.

Indeed it was a beating and Broner was too proud to show it, which is normal. But DAMN that was a vicious beating. I bet his doctor says to hang it up.
