...Yep, you read that right: 9 wins, 45 LOSSES, 6 draws. 5 KOs. Tomas Mrazek.
Time for Danny Williams to hang 'em up...

I read this on boxingscene and thought how sad. Williams has 20 losses himself now. He's a long ways off from his heroic comeback against Potter, beating Tyson and fighting Vitali for the title.
9-45Saw on boxrec Williams just fought 11 days ago as well! He managed to win that one but it was his first in ten or so fights, he's been getting beat up all over the place lately. I caught some of him against Maskaev not long ago(don't ask why) and it was painful the condition both men were in, possibly the slowest 2 fighters I have ever seen.
Yep, of all the crap I see posted aboit Roy or James Toney needing to retire, I think every one will agree that Danny Williams is losing a couple of years of life woth each fight he takes now and its sad. To look at him he is huge and menacing. But he he just cant avoid getting hit and anything now hurts him and he admits himself he has absolutely zero resilianceany more. This is sad.
Tam said he fights because his children are in private education and he needs the money. Well he should take them out and put them in public education. Who wants a dad that is punch drunk?
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
A strong wind wobbles Danny these days , but if they regard him as medically fit , who can stop him fighting?
very sad
At this point I think it would be a bigger surprise if the 9-45 journeyman lost to Danny Williams.
Williams STINKS and needs to retire.
Well he's clearly just fighting to earn a few quid. It's not delusions of grandeur.
When he fought Tyson his purse was $250,000. On the night of the fight he was told the promoter had gone skint and all he was getting is $70,000 cash, take it or leave it? Tough game.
3-Time SADDO PREDICTION COMP CHAMPION.
Yeah he eventually got his dough much later but, he wasn't meant to win, he was there to make Tyson look good, if he doesn't win he doesn't get the Vitali fight. He could have been smashed to bits by Tyson for a fraction of the purse he was promised. There's no big fight after that. Nice game.

But how much money can one get from fighting a guy with 45 losses and 9 wins? Can't be more than $3 k USD.??
Sad. But, if he is fighting for his kids to remain in private school, I don't blame him... but he has to consider upping the training and be more defensive. Show up for fights to avoid getting hit rather than coming to fight.
He can fight on the outside and just plod the ring- stay out of harms way and win/lose that way. His fights would be boring as hell, but he won't get pounded to smithereens- and still win some bread.
Bigger man George, bigger punch!

A Proud man, supporting his family the only way he can.
Who the hell are we to criticise? Good luck Danny.

Thing is, even other old, past it fighters would wipe the floor with this level of opponent.
There is a clear decline in Dannys ability to hold a shot. It was never the best but he now doesn't seem to even be able to Hurt anyone either.
Roy Jones has become woefully vulnerable but even he would have beaten this journeyman.
There are career journeymen who have always lost but Danny used to be a relative force. He just goes to jelly at the mere mention of a punch now. As old and frail as Holyfield, Jones and Toney are, they would stop Danny very early and not be in much danger of getting hurt.
Those fights with Tyson and Vitali have deffinitely taken a toll on his head.
