Are you kidding me? How can you laugh at people who thought Chavez would lose? Chavez and Vera have met one time before tonight and Chavez should have lost. At the very best, he should have got a draw. Why would you gloat as if you are the only one to see this coming? Look at the Vegas lines, this was the expected result. Even if Chavez wasn't the favorite, how can you "not believe" people? I think what would be more shocking would be to put your faith blindly in Chavez Jr than him having another letdown fight against a good, gritty fighte and losing. You didn't know what version of Chavez Jr. we were going to get tonight any better than anyone else. He had a great performance tonight but wasn't he supposed to do this the first time? I mean this was his second chance at a comeback fight! I understand if you're lashing out at those who have somewhat irrational hatred for Chavez, but at least make that clear. I think what Chavez has done with no amateur career is fairly incredible. He still got hit too much for my liking and I don't think the Chavez that fought tonight stands a chance against Golovkin, Ward or anyone else meaningful in the division.

I would love GGG to get his hands on Junior, that would be beautiful.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
While Chavez looked good and won a BOXING MATCH as opposed to the slugging and pummeling his opponents, a GGG call-out may be a little too much.
Chavez Jr.'s defense was EXCEPTIONAL last night. Vera couldn't hit cleanly or with volume for any part of the fight... Chavez took it, moved to his left and out of the way.
Chavez shocked me that he won a technical boxing match last night. Honestly. I didn't know he had "that skill"... but apparently he does. He looked better this fight than he did in the last Vera fight- MUCH better.
But does that mean he should be favored over GGG? lololol.... not so fast.

Hes another poster who should be rich from gambling. Its not so easy to predict results on a consistent basis. Or maybe Finito feels bad taking bookies money.
GGG-Jr would be huge for both. Arum and Top Rank need something like this to go down.
Golovkin- Chavez would be one of the worst beatings I can think of.
A GGG fight for Chavez Je has lost its luster... he should not have ticked his fans off the way he did in his disgraceful training habits. It wasn't the loss to Martinez that caused Chavez Jr. to lose fans, it was his approach to boxing.
Let's see Chavez Jr. pull off another BIG WIN- against a top rated guy. Like a Macklin, Murray, or someone of that nature. Even a Geale or a Mundine may be nice.

sooooo we're supposed to be impressed that he had to take on the smaller Vera twice to get a clear win against a guy you love labeling well a 3rd rate bum?! hmmmm wow, very impressive....and of course he'd call out another Middleweight rather than actually growing a pair and fighting either Ward, Froch, Groves, or even Bika, but well that's not Jr's style, he likes fighting smaller guys.....always has
To be fair; if Chavez actually does fight Golovkin that's about the furthest thing from a cherry pick imaginable. The only thing Jr has in that fight is size.
No.
Feed him to.... er.... I mean.... match him against GGG now.
Finito claims Junior "restored (hahaha) the family name". So let's get the show on the road. Put him in against GGG, with all the necessary weight rules so that both make weight and Junior shows up without the usual 30-pound advantage on fight night. Then have an ambulance ready..... because GGG is going to rip the "Coddled One" a new one.
Let's let Golovkin rest and grieve for his father who just passed away before jumping the gun on this match up.
Finito, have a little class buddy. You had humility in defeat picking the wrong fighters so have humility in victory as well.
By no means did Chavez Jr. destroy, knock out, stop, or knockdown "Joe Blow" Vera. He won 8-4 plus a BS point deduction in a good fight where he looked much better than last time out. It was a good win.
"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"
