I can see a Garcia/Thurman showdown when Floyd retires....

Garcia is crafty. Thurman isn't that good EXCEPT for his power at that weight and his stamina at high levels.... but we have only seen that raw, hard, stamina, all that much.
What if Garcia takes him deep? And shits on him with raw boxing skill? Raw power and untested stamina can only take you so far.

Skills and crafts are a bit different imo but I do agree that garcia is crafty. I also agree that thurman isnt all that great but size and stamina alone are good traits to have and it can take a fighter long ways.
But again, I dont see that raw boxing skills you are talking about in garcia. I dont think he is a skilled boxer.
Thurman is fuckin good. He's powerful, smart, quick and can adapt to different styles. Sometimes he brings it, sometimes he boxes smart.
He's good for boxing and a good kid.
"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"
Thurman showed me something last out. Adjustment and growth, kid can fight. If only he would get away with the 3rd person WWE style interviewsbut its a start. I just want Matthysse back in there asap, always like his style and he is a key in division. Do think Shaefer sells them both short by lone focus on POWER
and it doesn't lead me to think they will face stiff challenges. Both are far more than sluggers gunning one demensional for ko...I get it and it sells, but calculated skill power trumps raw dumb power for the sake of power any day of the week. We get that enough with unproven-untested heavyweights
as it is
