Thread: Anyone else afraid for Angulo tonight?

I have an ominous feeling about the Angulo/Canelo fight. I feel he is, Angulo, going to be hurt very, very badly.

I don't like to say bad things like this before a fight.... but this doesn't feel right. Something in my spirit says we are going to see a horrible tragedy tonight.

Let's hope I'm wrong!

Against mayweather, he may have been outboxed and outsmarted without suffering physical pain , but against Angulo, he's gonna feel the pain..

I hope Angulo beats him up good but I don't see it as likely. I want him to win because of this weight BS. I love how Golden Boy can say ummmm....yeah he came in under the 168 limit but refuse to reveal the actual weight and the weigh in was CLOSED!!!!!GTFOH! War Angulo!!!!

Angulo seems REALLY up for this fight. Although he is a somewhat limited brawler, IF he can get to Canelo and close the distance he has a shot to hurt him.


I'm picking Canelo, but if he didn't "hurt" Matthew Hatton or Alfonso Gomez then I think caveman bad ass Angulo will come out alive and well.

In retrospect, he had no business being in there with Canelo. He was a sacrificial lamb in "The Return of Canelo", and he played the part perfectly. He tried, but he looked like he was on slo-mo out there. THAT.... and he had no pop on his punches. Perfect setup for Ginger Boy.

Ref Tony Weeks did the right thing... could have been sooner, too. But thank God it didn't end too badly- at least in the immediate aftermath of the fight.

Atlas said Angula would not be able to carry his punch at the highest level. He was right.

What exactly does that mean? Angulo looked like he was afraid to throw a heavy punch. I figured he was star struck bit maybe there's more to it than that??

That his power does not translate against the better fighters. they see the punches and can react better also he probably hesitates and does not put full force because of what he will get back in return.
