Thumbs down It seems Ike Ibeabuchi has been released from prison...

    ...after 15 years incarceration.

Plenty of rumors. I typed "Ibeabuchi" in Nevada State Inmate Search, and his full first name "Ikemefula" pops up, but says his file is currently inactive.

If this deranged lunatic is currently free, isn't he supposed to be deported?

Very dangerous person to be walking the streets.
It's just a matter of time.

I also read he was released.

I heard he's being lined up as Wilder's next opponent

He must be pretty old by now though ey??

15 years out the game, plus age plus he's gotten fat judging from some jail images I seen of him.

I don't think he'll be a serious factor anymore even if he does make a comeback.

Which is a shame because he was top contender/champion material back in the day, who knows how far he could have gotten if not for his unfortunate psyche. But hey there are worse guys out there than Ibeabuchi. I think they should have parolled him earlier personally.

Should have paroled him earlier? Is this a joke? The man is a psychopath. He was and always will be a threat. He should be closely monitored the rest of his days.

Ike needs to be in a mental asylum.

He's probably back in Nigeria now. From what I heard long ago, the plan was to immediately deport him upon his release.

I have to laugh when people talk about him coming back and fighting after 15 years in the slammer.

He was a top, highly touted PROSPECT in his prime - that's it. He was never a world champ. He can go join Tony Ayala in the "Promising but too much of a scumbag even for boxing" file in boxing's history.

This can't be true; Ibeabuchi still has a pulse.

Amazingly, he is only 2 years older than Wladimir, so expect to see him on the comeback trail.

While incarcerated, Ibeabuchi reformed, and in an astounding turnaround, earned two college degrees from Western Nevada Community College: an Associate of General Studies and an Associate of Applied Science in General Business. Ibeabuchi was released from prison by the Nevada Board of Corrections after serving his sentence in February 2014.

His biggest fight left him a basket case and with damage. Any promoter who rushes him to tv should have his own head checked out.
