    Default Monday Night Fights!

This kicks off in a few minutes on Fox Sports 1.

Michael Perez 19-1-2 (10) gets back at it vs Jorge Romero 24-7 (21) at jr welter. Wasn't terribly impressed with him last out, we'll see what Romero has in store for him.

McJoe Arroyo 13-0 (7) out for a year and not sure why and fights David Quijano 15-4-1 (9).

Jayson 'meh' Velez 21-0 (15) vs Miquel Soto 12-2 (12)

Nothing major especially after Saturdays fireworks but its Monday, and its boxing. Much needed distraction here. Its what we do

John Karl Sosa 9-0 (6) taking on Victor Perez 3-1 (1) 6 rounds welters. Perez with the torso of a pudgy 8th grader. Oh, Perez snuck Sosa a nice right off the ropes and made him grab on. Yeh he was buzzed! Never know what to make of these going in. Perez is a little cagey

Sosa needs to learn to duck or move that noggin. He gets hit clean but pressing the power and strength. Bad bad habit of standing high and pulling straight back on that WIDE stance, stationary. 2-1 Sosa

Monday night boxing needs to step up their game seriously because their matchups are so shitty.

They make ESPN and Telefutura look like some premium channels.

    Borrrring.

3-1 Sosa. He almost puts as much effort and committing fully to a square set up as he does letting the hands go. Does one-then the other. Really walking Perez down in 5th, reducing him to sneak slaps and waddling away

Yeh man, hate to say but many of the recent gbp have been badly stacked for favorite. It'd also help if they paid the light bill in that arena, or hand out Zippos . Had to turn the brightness up

Sosa punches him in the back of the head to boot. Sloppy. Perez clocks him after bell, man. 59-55 Sosa at end.

One of the Arroyo twins with McJoe 13-0 (7) vs David Quijano 15-4-1 (9) up. 8 rounds. Spr fly. This should be good.

McJoe really sharp off the backfoot. Catching onrushing Quijano in first pretty as he pleases

Strong strong combos in 2nd for McJoe, switched up very quickly when he stunned him badly and was aggressor at rounds end. Had him going in both directions.

Arroyo really impressive with the accuracy. Nice gears, defense to offense as one. Quijano is a lot of spaztic energy so far and literally walks onto half these shots.

Arroyo is taking over, Quijano is puzzled by the southpaw in front of him.
Had to miss the first fight visiting a cousin in the hospital, not expected to live.

    Sorry to hear that.

I'm beginning to think the jab is close to falling into that "lost art" category.

Sorry to hear bud. That's harsh.

Quijano a tough hombre, swelling around left eye becoming ugly though.

For a year off really didn't see a spec of 'ring rust'. Like his punch selection. Decent scrap albeit one way traffic.

Main event and then its midnight grilling on the patio Michael Perez vs Jorge Romero jr welts. Really not a fan of Perez. Waves his own flag before the ships even in the water
