“If you want loyalty, buy a dog.” Ricky Hatton
He is a cunt
Pompous asshole.
Wants to be the hard nosed, confrontational, "ask the tough questions" guy but just comes off like a douche.
I've heard enough. He is a right cunt who was told off years ago by Kostya Tzsyu. Then he tried to embarrass Pete Rose at Pete Rose Day in Cincinnati. Then he interviewed Jumna while the poor guy was on Queer Street and managed to get him suspended for a year. The list goes on and on. He tried to make an issue out of the head butt in the Sotto Karass fight.
He is a foul rat who lives in the sewers.

Don't like him, never have and probably never will.
It's the way he keeps asking the same question in different ways attempting to get the answer he wants.
Jim Grey to Chad Dawson.."So what do you think it will take to climb back up the mountain and get back"...."hard work and dedication and I'm willing to do it" I mean I just took a year off but still wouldn't make the weight and came in at unofficial career high 202 lbs tonight, but yeh, hard work
Grey..."So, do you think it will be difficult"![]()

I think he sucks. I loved it when James Toney slapped the microphone out of his hand n attacked him. He was classless when he went after Pete Rose, and I loved it when prime Johnny a Tapia told him to apologize when Gray was interviewing after one of his wins (Gray was visibly uncomfortable, cause Tapia was crazy). Kostya also handled himself well when he asked Gray to stop being rude to him.
It is not so much what the jerk says, it is how he says it.

Jim Gray is terrible and always has been
Not really heard much of Jim Gray
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
He's terrible, has the same kind of confrontational approach as Larry Merchant but worse, and without any redeeming qualities. I think Dana White(UFC owner) actually had a good call a while back when he said boxers probably dread their post fight interviews as much as stepping into the ring these days, I can't think of any other sport where athletes are given the same kind of flack. Who does it serve to have some pompous old geek out there trying to discredit fighters on a consistent basis in the post fights, even in reasonable action fights you'll often see both fighters basically torn down afterwards, it's a joke. Even if they just had some cheer leading idiot instead, it would at least sell the action a little bit.
The man we all love to hate!
