    Default Khan giving deadlines..

Khan really wants the fight with mayweather and I think he deserves it.

I'm sure telling mayweather he has 5 days as a deadline to decide wont go down to well but he has to understand the manny fight is the priority.

Khan really doesn't want option B of fighting brook but he should relish that fight because he will make loads of money and after he beats brook puts him in a great position for late 2015.

What would you do if you was Amir khan?

Start acting like Shannon briggs and chasing floyd around town?

Khans really wants Floyd. His problem is he cant (wont) fight in September. So if its not May its likely never. Its a fight Ive wanted to see for years and have always said Khan has a great chance against Floyd. Keep chasaing the fight, if it doesnt come he can get Brook in the summer for a world title and good payday.

Floyd must be pissing himself at Khan's "Deadlines". who the fuck does he think he is? He's not a champion, infact whenever he loses a title, he goes up in weight, this fast hands stuff is nonsense and he hasn't beaten anybody good enough to warrant a fight with Floyd . There , I've said it !
However, I appreciate Boxing is a business and if he really wants the Floyd fight, he should do a Briggs and completely piss Floyd off. thee way I see it , he ain't getting the fight either way, so fuck it, why not just piss Mayweather off, and then regardless of whether he could win or not , some people will actually believe he can and Floyd is scared!

Im sick of people talking about "deserving a shot" against Floyd. Floyd is a fighter, the best P4P and should fight the best. Plain and simple.

He beat Maidana who deserved 2 shots against him? He beat Devon and Collazo in his last 2 who are as good as any last 2 opponents on Floyds opponents recs.

    Maidana beat Broner and Lopez
    Alvarez beat Trout and Lopez
    Guerrero beat Berto and Aydin
    Cotto beat Margarito and Mayorga
Ortiz beat Berto and drew with Peterson
    Moseley beat Margarito and Mayorga

Also point out Khan beat his last 2 impresssively. Maidanas fight with Broner was close, Alvarez fight close with Trout, Guerrero fight with Berto closish (but he didnt look good in that fight). It seems to get a fight with Floyd you have to perform poorly in a recent fight.

There is nothing new going on. Floyd is still in control. Khan will have to wait.

Convenient to break it down into last 2, why not last 3? Why not last 4? Oh, because it doesn't fit into the neat little bow.

Khan has domestic things to prove, not for Floyd but to prove to everyone. If he can beat Brook, which is a very big if, he deserves any opportunity he desires

And please, everyone, stop mentioning Collazo as if he means shit. Seriously, it's sad

I don't think he's giving Mayweather a deadline like he owns him or anything or like he's his boss. It's more of a deadline for himself, because he's holding out on other potential opponents whilst he waits for an answer from Mayweather.

And, i think dominating Alexander is impressive enough. Other than Pacquiao, he's got as much right as anyone else at this point in time.

Why does Brook hold the key to Khan's future possibilities though? The only thing that ties them together is the fact they are both English and they don't get on. Before the Porter win, Brook had nobody on his resume that was anywhere near as good as Collazo. Senchenko shook him up pretty badly and the first Carson Jones fight could have been stopped. The Porter win was impressive, but that fight could easily have gone the other way. Brook is a good fighter, but he's surely not the yardstick for a Floyd fight. Jesus.

This effectively kills any chance Khan may have hand on landing the fight and I'm not sure whether "deserving" should even enter into the convo because on paper and based on what have you done lately, Brook deserves the shot not Khan.

Cotto is waiting on Floyd and the phantom fight is never far away. In truth Khan putting on a deadline here kind of makes him look like an idiot.

How? Khan's win over Alexander was far more impressive than Brook's win over Porter. It was a far more dominating display. Before Porter, Brook was fighting the likes of Carson Jones and Senchenko.

Well thats a matter of opinion. Prior to Brook schooling Porter, he was being touted as the next coming and some were saying Floyd was ducking him and that other hype job Thurman. Now of course Porter is limited because Brook kicked his head in. Devon has attention deficit disorder and has been one of the biggest under achievers for a man of his talent ever. He was not in the running for anything and was beaten handily by the man Brook destroyed.

And ftr I wanted the Khan/Floyd fight regardless because Floyd does not always take he should on paper and belts don't mean all that much at this point but Khan has mouthed his way out of the fight imo.

Collazo smoked a recent Floyd opponent and is known to have been an avoided fighter so he is relevant. Its nothing special but its certainly more impressive then the wins over Lopez that other guys have.

Recent fights are the most important when discussing form. You can go back further if you want.

Khan - Diaz (people say shot but had just given porter trouble), Molina (not good but gave Broner trouble) and a loss.
Maidana. Wins over Angel Martinez (who?), Soto Karass, (average) and a loss.
    Ortiz - Harris, Campbell, Alatorre
Guerrero - Katsidis, Escobedo and Casamayor (not bad comp but all at lightweight)
Alvarez - Mosely, Cintron and Gomez (again not very high standard of opposition)

Khan deserves a shot at Floyd as much as anyone.

Also he is a strong favorite over Brook.

Fight was far far from a schooling. Khans win over Devon was a schooling. Floyds win over Canelo was a schooling. Brooks win over Porter was a close, well earned victory in a very hard fight for Brook.

But he didn't school him. Even the pro-British Sky commentary team had Porter winning on their unofficial scorecard. It was a close fight and a hard earned victory. And Porter is limited in a technical sense. He's a rough and tough sort of fighter. He's very effective and that style of fighter will always unsettle someone like Alexander - who is a more patient and technical style of fighter. Khan's win over Alexander was so impressive because he outboxed him in every sense of the word.

Also when you see headlines like 'Khan gives Mayweather Deadline' it's worth noting that Khan will have just answered a question from a reporter about a possible Floyd fight basically saying that he's going to give it another 5 days or so before he starts looking at other opponents. I don't think that's particularly arrogant or mouthy.

Are we saying Khan is naive? He's been in the game long enough to know how to answer a reporters question ffs.
Floyd should fight Pac. Khan should fight someone like Thurman, Bradley, Garcia or someone like that. Whoever wins , fight Floyd
