Its a simple case of who lands first , Wlad has the experience but if a big sharp puncher catches him flush he folds like a deck of cards.
The problem is hitting him clean before he hits you with a steelhammer.

wlad can only ko dumb chump fighters like pulev & leapai. from what i saw in his fight w/ stiverne, wilder will ko wlad or get a UD. wilder is aggressive and has a punch. all of wlads opponents have been scared to death of him. wilder wont be, and he'll use that to fuck with wlads already weak confidence.
thank god there is a new HW champ.

You'd have to make Wlad the favourite, Wlad is seasoned, Wilder has had a brief look at the salt and pepper pot.

Wilder is everything Wlad doesn't want to be facing now though. Im sure he'd have no argument if the next viable guy and the one after that were short squat plodders. Wilder or Fury V Wlad will be very interesting.

I'm still not convinced wilder is the goods. He likes to stalk guys smaller than him with a jab and a straight right hand and even then he practically gets a running start on it with that giant step forward, which is a dead giveaway and if stiverne had stayed in front of him and moved his head, wilder would have never gotten that kind of power on his right hand. From everything I saw in that fight, he still screams toughman contestant and needs serious polishing. Even after he had stiverne hurt, he ran in there and started with the shoe shining, cuff tornado. In the later rounds when he gassed he took to turning his back on his opponent and walked away while almost tossing jabs behind him like an after thought. Leaning back with his chin up and his hands down to avoid late counters from Stiverne. He hasn't had someone who was able to punch back in the same range who could hurt him and wait for him to make mistakes. I'm sure he's a great athlete and with his size, he covers a great distance in a short period of time and it must seem like a different animal for some opponents. I'm just convinced a consummate pro with a good team and good training, in shape will see Wilder's punches coming from a mile away and land their counters where they need too. I'm not a fan of Vlad's and he could get caught by one of those big rights, but just calling it like I see it. A guy who has his stuff together, breaks wilder down easy and dismantles him. There's just too many holes in his game and he hasn't been deterred yet by someone taking away his plan A, right hand. I know it might seemed bias right now, but I see a heavyweight chris byrd (before the decline), having this kid breathing heavy and scratching his head after 3 rounds.
They want your @$$ beat because upsets make news. News brings about excitement, excitement brings about ratings. The objective is to bring you up to the tower and tear your @$$ down. And if you don't believe that, you're crazy.

I don't think Wilder should fight Wlad until he fights a few big guys like himself.
He's come up fighting smaller guys and more than likely has developed some habits that aren't going to work with bigger guys, especially as far as reach is concerned.
I don't know if it will make a significant difference, but I don't see how it can hurt.
Wilder will have a punchers chance if they ever meet, but Wlad has so much experience!! Right now I don't see Wilder winning except with that lucky punch, and it would have to be early in the fight.

If Wilder could fight and stop somebody like Maruisz Wach then I think it would do a lot for his credibility and it would give people that common opponent to compare and contrast performances with.....then again, Wach's ability to take a punch is pretty good and I think as big and strong as he is (roids or not) he'd be a tough fight as well.

I think a Wilder-Fury fight would make BANK especially if Wilder fought him on the road in England

And for the record Wlad wins by stoppage. Apparently Wlad dropped Wilder in sparring before as well

James Ali Bashir said Deontay Wilder is 'He was one of the sparring partners for the Wach fight (11/10/12). He was a pretty sturdy, enthusiastic young man, but the jury is out on him because of the caliber of opponents he's been in with. It makes you wonder if his people know something about him that everyone else doesn't know about him.' and he went on to talk about Lewis fighting Gary Mason on 13-14 fights, or Tim Witherspoon fighting Holmes on 13-14 fights and how they proved themselves vs how Wilder has been handled. Bashir said "There's such a thing as riding past your stop. You can't keep on without making a statement, sometimes you wait too long and it's too late" he cited Malik Scott as a prime example of that having not been on prime time tv til he was over 30 fights into his career and people STILL don't know much about him.

I think Deontay Wilder will have to fight somebody and really prove himself before fighting Wlad.

Roger sounds a little punchy ....BUUUUT at the end he says "I don't think no heavyweight right now can beat him(Wladimir)" and that I tend to agree with.

Although good news for you Brits apparently Malik Scott said Anthony Joshua "Did more than hold his own vs Wlad" .....but take from that what you will as I find a lot of boxers are full of shit.
