I do not think the fight will happen this year. Frampton is at the start of his ITV contract and will want to have more defences and build his profile. Quigg is coming from an injury.

True
Also Mcguigan isn't gonna budge after just 1 fight with ITV when he's onto a goldmine with them and Frampton.
The only 2 things to sort out are venue/location which surely has to be a Stadium in London somewhere that holds 30/40 thousand and neutral ground and then who is gonna be showing it live.
The TV side of it will cause the biggest headache
Barry wants the fight on ITV for much less dough... that's basically the line from the otherside. The Frampton mob don't like Eddie much

So McGuigans sponsors are being investigated now too.
ITV are gonna have to chuck a shitload of money into this fight to rival what Sky Sports can bring.
Makes financial sense for both fighters to go with Matchroom/Sky but surely that would just piss off ITV so much they'd wanna fuck Frampton off and was their hands of him.
I got a feeling ITV might just stump up a big fee to show this, they're gonna have to if they are serious about Framptons journey with them.
It's a tough decision because if they try and build this and do it next year and Frampton happens to lose a fight its stock will go down significantly.

Frampton is where it is at! He has the fans, proper title and momentum. Forget Sky and Hearn. ITV is where it is at.![]()

Really hope so @Master
Hope there is a way they can push on wth Frampton and keep him on ITV and free to watch.
ITV will have to seriously invest to compete though.
We love ITV 😄
This fight has to happen.
I want to see this fight too, but it needs to be mentioned that Rigondeaux is being avoided.
