    Default Cheyenne, Wyoming

Why would at least 8 major hotel chains all build right across the street from a very busy railroad line? I've been here four hours and the building has been rumbling the whole time.
Better yet, why did I stay here again since the exact same thing happened 12 years ago, the last time I stayed in Cheyenne. Even ate at the same Outback Steakhouse I swore never to set foot in again. And Downtown Cheyenne has some cool restaurants and bars and hotels.
I know this because I knew ten days ago that I would be here tonight so I checked it out. But I got tired and I forgot.

There was, a minute ago, a mini van with the alarm going off. The horn was bad but at least it drowned out the trains.

That's a little close for comfort but I have always missed the sound of the trains. It used to put me to sleep at night. I grew up in Saskatchewan and my granddad was an engineer with the CPR. Main line ran right through the middle of town carrying wheat etc.

I bet Cheyenne is a cool place though with all that history.

I don't think he has set foot in Wyoming, beyond the few minutes it took to establish residency.
