So I got a 70lb used canvas heavy bag for $30, got some sand bags in the middle of it, effective making it a 85lb bag right now. Then picked up some Top Contender Super Bag gloves and wraps for a total of about $40 including shipping.
I LOVE working out on this bag. I have just been watching online videos and looking at myself in the mirror to try and get proper form and I haven't been trying to murder the bag too hard (plus the bag appears to have some nice softer spots towards the top where it has been beat on). Do you think I'm going to go jog on a boring ass treadmill for 25 minutes at 10pm at night?!? No, but I can't wait to get out and workout with the bag, working on differents combos, feints, jukes, etc. What a great fun workout so far. The only thing that makes me quit is that I physically get tired and am dripping with sweat, not boredom like riding a stupid exercise bike.
Any tips would be appreciated too.
