People are wondering what he's going to do. He's not fighting Khan, he's not fighting Thurman. He's going to close his career out by fighting Cotto for his linear 160lb title.

This for sure is already in the works. That's why Cotto is fighting Daniel Geale: they need him to defend his MW title so he can be looked at as a legit 160lb champion, so he picked the safest 160lber to do it against. Then Floyd will come in and challenge for the belt and win his 6th weight division world title, the same title that guys like Bhop, Marvin Hagler, and Monzon held for so many years.

This is why Floyd is so adamant that he's going to retire after his next fight: because he knows that after he beats Cotto, people are going to be clammering for him to fight GGG, and he's not going to do that. It's a suicide mission.

Yeah, but Cotto's fighting Geale at a catchweight. Does that mean he's defending his title? If not, sure as shit he'll have to fight a mandatory after. Anyway, there's a good chance Geale beats him!
