    Default Mayfield or Berto?! REALLY?!?!

Out of all the fighters available at 147, hell even 140, Mayweather says that those are his two options for his final fight. That's fucking ridiculous, what the fuck has Berto done but give Josecito Lopez another defeat? There's Thurman, Khan, Brook, Porter, Garcia at 147, Crawford, Matthysse, and Provodnikov at 140 that can move up, yea he'd beat all of them but still they're better opponents than fucking Andre Berto or Karim Mayfield. Hell I'd even rather have the fucking Pacquiao rematch.

What's wrong with that? I think Berto or Mayfield are cleary the top 2 and 3 in the division.

Berto is like Mosley in his prime. People complain about Floyd not fighting Mosley in his prime, well this is a way to remedy that. Floyd beating Berto at this point would actually be better than beating Mosley in 2000.

And Mayfield p4p the next slickest boxer behind Floyd. Never has Floyd fought such a slick boxer so it could mean a lot of trouble for Floyd. I think it would be on the same level as say Leonard beating Wilfredo Benitez.

I'd pay full price for either PPV TBH.

I would like to see him fight Berto because he has been the platform for Ortiz and Guerrero getting their shots against Money. I think it would be interesting to see him fight a watered down version of himself in his hopefully final fight of his career.

Berto has the power to stop Floyd no doubt. Mayfield sounds just like Mayweather, they can call it 'the battle of the Mays' also has the speed to outbox Floyd 9-3.

sounds to me like your being a hater, great fights I commend Floyd for being a warrior.

Possibly 10-2, and that's not counting the possible KD's he might score on Floyd with his power.

Garbage fight. I don't really mind Floyd fighting whoever he wants for his last fight. That being said, neither guy is even a semi-decent opponent. I would watch the fight if it was on NBC or Showtime, but neither fight is even remotely interesting and ANYONE trying to sell either as credible opponents is delusional and a complete fan boy. Zero credibility. I think the ppv numbers will be horrible if it goes through. I would be surprised if it sold to 300,000 homes if it is at the usual $50 range.

@Beanflicker is clearly taking the piss with that post. Berto is no Shane. I want Floyd to earn the obscene money he is getting preferably going out of his comfort zone and getting annihilated against GGG which I know will never happen.

Thurman is the only serious and hungry challenge for Floyd.

I personally think Berto is at the point of shot up. Regardless he is the poster boy for a rushed fighter who never corrected glaring flaws and developed. Mayweather gets that elusive tko in ugly fashion. Either one of these guys is a stay busy showcase and Floyd should wear a ski mask when the raise his hand.

Floyd will never stop a top welterweight and Berto is just about that.

I'm very serious, just as Floyd was when he gave those options.

He's due Berto was rocked and on wooden legs by a guy with 6 ko's fight before last. You don't have to knock a guy unconscious to stop them. Just distort his face repeatedly and make that stool more and more comfy. I think if Floyd pushes the issue, he'll go.

Floyd will not push any issues. The man does not have it in him any more he wants to retire unscathed, unhurt and unmarked.

Which is why I want Thurman to fight him and try and knock his head off.

Mayweather is old as fuck so it does not really matter who he fights really anymore. Pac was the last guy he had to fight but Pac lost damn near ever round and stood there lost a decision. GGG would be good but the fucking guy is a legit mw that walks around at like 175 i am guessing.
