For the record I have no issue with bigamy, I think it should be legal as well.
We can get into all the same tired slippery slopes that come up whenever people try to justify their opposition to gay marriage, but I think it's a bit silly to compare gay marriage to beastiality, use of illegal narcotics, or a relationship with an inanimate object or some other (non)life form that can't consent.
The fact is, homosexuality occurs in nature and it occurs in our society. We're talking about a lot of people. We can spend our time hating and resenting them because they don't like to put their dicks in same things we do (or the "typical" things in their vaginas), or we can accept that some people are gay, and those people want the same kind of privileges that heterosexuals enjoy. They want to fall in love, have a partner and have their relationship acknowledged, and not have it looked at as some novelty.
And to me, saying "IT SHOULDN'T HAPPEN BECAUSE IT'S NOT HOW IT HAS BEEN DONE" is probably the weakest argument you can have against ANYTHING. As humans we evolve: attitudes and perceptions change, we look at old ways and we come up with better ways, and we look back on past mistakes and try to atone for them. People are accepting of gays and want them to have the same rights and heterosexuals, that's the way our world is heading and I think it's a great thing. I want to progress, I don't want to live in a world like the middle east where they're doing the same thing they've always done and following the words of a book that's thousands of years old.
