    Default Cecil the Lion

What no thread about Cecil? Horrible cunts.

What say you people? Is it OK to kill animals for kicks and stuff um on a wall?

Whichever way you slice it this horrible fucker is a cunt isn't he? Luring it out into the open, shooting it with a bow and arrow then letting it suffer for 40 hours or whatever it was before chopping it's head off. You've got to be a proper wrong un to want to do that.

One tit bit that I read in the fall out was about conservation and that this dentist twat had spent shit loads hunting soooooooooo in a way had kind of earned the right to kill?

In the same way that Jimmy Saville had earned the right to fuck kids I think.

Is this thread going to be anti-hunting in general or anti-trophy hunting?

That kind of depends on others to be fair. Personally, I don't have a problem with people hunting and eating what they kill. Killing shit for sport/kicks is different though. And luring a collared animal out of it's sanctuary to kill it in the way this fucker did is a whole different game all together.

I can understand not seeing a collar on a lion as the mane could obscure the view.

I can understand trophy hunting CAN bring in lots of money to certain rural regions especially in Africa.

That said, I don't appreciate hunting just for killing something. I really, really enjoy cooking with meat harvested from hunts and I enjoy hunting as a means to do that. I believe hunting is morally better than getting food from the grocery where the animals have been locked up, bred for slaughter, and in some cases treated very poorly. Culling an animal is not an easy task (for those that have souls), it is bitter sweet to know you've taken a life with your own hands to sustain your life/feed your family. Hunters also do a lot for nature conservation, much more than hippies and yuppies, because hunters protect WHAT they hunt but also WHERE they hunt.

Predator hunts (unless you have a problem population) IMO are not the most helpful. #1 The meat is not as good, #2 predators have their place in the food chain and it's needed. Bear meat is ok...I mean it has to be cooked slow and low so the sinew melts down, otherwise you end up with really tough meat that seems like it's tied together with rubber bands. I've had Bobcat before, that was decent enough, but other than that what other predator would you want to eat?

Any person feeling a want or desire to kill essentially a park mascot or any other animal in that fashion needs his head pulled through his own arsehole.

Lions aren't even endangered, they are "vulnerable" but not endangered.

To be quite honest Cecil was coming to the end of his life naturally as he was 13 and the typical age range for a lion in the wild to live to is 10-14....maybe he could have gotten older, but at that point younger males start to test the old alpha and in those skirmishes the old lion can be injured, killed, even in victory or if he loses he will be cast out and THOSE lions are the man eaters, the very dangerous rogue lions hunting only for themselves. Not to defend that guy's hunt, just providing hunting information.

I think the internet has piggybacked on the 24/7 news media and created a system of perpetually angry people. Right now this kind of nonsense is typically reserved for SJW's and the Bleeding Hearts, and they feel like they can get their pitchforks and torches after those who "trigger" them....but all it takes is a person with no regard for newsmedia/the internet to brush them aside with ease. People are doxxing these hunters, why? Intimidation? That would be the ONLY reason to and that is just as wrong if not more so because if something were to happen to one of these hunters then it's a human life ended due to the loss of an animal life....that is a very slippery slope

We should get all those motherfunkers naked in a game reserve and declare open season on them. Get whatever nation it is's local troops in and tell them it's a military exercise. I've never fired a gun but if I could get a human hunting permit for that shoot I'd be over there to get a head I could stick over my fireplace.

Warthogs probably provide pretty good meat, although I doubt she eats any of it. I seriously doubt she ate any giraffe, and frankly I wouldn't order giraffe meat even at an exotic restaurant. Yes... the media is pretty obnoxious on this type of issue, and LOL at the image of triggering a mob of pitchforks and torches. However, it's just as true that as sure as there is the media slobbering at any opportunity to sensationalize a story and create a feeding frenzy..... there's also plenty of morons out there who like to play the copycat game. "Duh..... well, if so-and-so can go out and shoot 'imself a wild lion, then... duh... so can I." It's unfortunate, but true. Rationalizing about Cecil being close to the end of his useful life is a "great defense"... but also fuel for the copycat morons who now will put shooting a lion on their bucket list.

I'm not anti hunting. I helped out a family in Maine who live on wild animals. To be honest I don't enjoy it and haven't done it in years but I was visiting them, they were low on meat, the season was closing and they know I'm a good shot so yes I got them a deer.

Now this guy IMO is an idiot. I may be biased as I find lions to be one of the more majestic animals in the world. They may not be endangered but their population is dwindling and they are poached. The population decline in these animals are of concern.

I think this dentist is an idiot but in his defense he spent a lot of money getting permits, working with locals and at them time his guides told him he was acting legally. He had no intent to break the law or poach. Now as others have said I don't think this guy's life should be ruined for what he did. He's getting death threats and I doubt even if he had a year I don't think the guy could finish reading all the negative stuff people have been writing on internet. The guy screwed up, was dumb to shoot such a majestic protected animal but it's over, I don't think he would ever do it again, I'm sure he wishes he hadn't, let's let him live now and it's ridiculous to make death threats against People if you don't agree with animals being killed.

Yes, and he's in hiding. He hired some kind of pr firm to speak for him, they made one statement and they received threats so they dropped. The guy didn't rape a baby. Who knows, perhaps if the dentist hadn't killed that wild beast that beast could have killed one of denilson200 relatives the next day.

There is simply no good reason to hunt a lion with a bow and arrow. This dentist is clearly one messed up individual. To want to go out and torture something slowly until it dies is despicable. I can understand why he was a dentist, he clearly just wanted to take the torture kicks to another level. Sick, sick man.
