Default Movies that exceeded your expectations

I didn't except much from the movie Deep Blue Sea to be anything other than a rehashed version of Jaws.

And with rapper L.L. Cool Jay I figured he'd have a stereotypical roll.

    Great movie,.
Every one who died in the movie went out in the wildest ways. I couldn't envision such creative ways to die.
    And Samuel Jackson's death?

If you by passed this movie...I won't be a spoiler. Rent it. I'm sure you will like it.

Blade was better than I thought it would be and the special effects were way a head of their time.

Agreed. But they stretched it to get the final sequel.

No all 3 films were good but the first was the best.

Matrix was the one which was stretched until it made no sense.

You could not top The Godfather, then came Godfather II and that humble pie tasted good. Ditto Star Wars/Empire Strikes Back. Of course both franchises also show you can also 'jump the shark'; but maybe it is only me, with hindsight, I do not think Godfather III was that bad...

I quite liked the first two saw films but after that it just went full on gruesome antics rather than interesting plot twists... The first one was good and the second one was better than i expected I did not enjoy the 3rd though and haven't bothered to watch the most recent ones. Also on the theme of gruesome horror films, Hostel was a lot better than I thought it would be.

Something about the first starship troopers I enjoyed...don't know why but it was just a fun film.

Any movie called Forrest Gump had to be a one demographic dud.

    Boy was I wrong.
