I think Larry had the physical attributes, mental toughness/tenacity, work ethic, and skill set to beat any heavyweight in history. This is not to say he was unbeatable, because styles make fights and everyone has an off night. That being said, I would only make Ali a favorite over Holmes, prime vs prime, and would actually make Holmes the favorite vs 70s Ali.

Holmes was injured and still beat Norton. Holmes v Foreman would be the fight I would loved to have seen.

Prime Holmes in the early 70's (by time machine) gets his ass whooped by Ali, who'd probably be talking to Holmes during the fight saying:
