Sure...I guess its probably the best he can get.
Korobov isn't ranked returning from the time away and still too close to the Lee ko for me. Golovkin needs to aim higher
Yep truth bud, just see Korobov more a matter of network convenience and one that was never really proven in the first place. They'd just be sweeping the pieces into the dust pan and patching him back together without any 'build' whatsoever. Mix it up a little and maybe go with a wild card in Heiland? The division needs a marriage counselor. With Canelo, Jacobs and Saunders all notching up recently its just more of the same for Golovkin. Its turning into one long drawn out 'stay busy' fight run.
Might as well put him in with Jackson, another Lee left over.

GGG wasting his peak years here fighting b and c level guys. Not sure who's to blame but he badly needs a mega fight.
There is nobody to blame really, just very bad timing for Golovkin. The only guy he could have moved up for at 168 is Andre Ward, who wasn't fighting period and announced his move to 175 once he came back. Froch was talked about but Carl has most likely retired as well. Who does that leave? A bunch of guys at 160 who aren't on his level and won't fight him anyways.
Agreed. And to add on to that, 168 has lost its good fighters. Even if GGG went up and beat those guys, it would still be said of him that he is wasting his prime years beating nobodies. Canelo is the one to fight and we may get that fight later this year but I'm not sure who he can fight at the moment that fans would be happy about. He literally has nobody and at least he keeps busy.
Time to start building Korobov up. He was winning against the ordinary Lee until he wasn't!
