Default Rounds that went more/less than 3 minutes

Round two of George Foreman and Ron Lyle is a hysterical round. It went one minute and 59 seconds and nobody noticed except for Howard Cosell. Two rounds later somebody whispered to Cosell that the round was indeed 2 minutes long and he was sure to say that he suspected he had been right.

Can a bell be unrung? If a delinquent timekeeper rings the bell for sinister reasons and somebody notices, can it be overridden by an official in real time so that the round continues?

No the timekeeper is the sole keeper of time. If it found that the timekeeping is wrong it can be brought the attention of the supervisor, but it cannot be 'overridden' per se.

Amazing. So even if the both corners and a couple of judges and even the refs are screaming that it was only one and a half minutes or two minutes there's nothing that can be done. The round is over and they will get the 60 second break before the start of the next round.

Yes, providing the timekeeper gets that right!
