Probably the most animated I've seen Holyfield recently. Refreshing to see a former champ praise some guys coming up and such a big Fury fan he bought a t shirt. Spot on about amateur program. Asked if he'll come back..."
and do what" ha!
on a side Oscar is shamelessEvander mocks Canelo and on cue Oscar bombs interview and compares Khan scenario to Holyfield always being the smaller guy. Dope
Oscar is a whore to the media, cocaine and whores.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
I like the bit where he mimics Tyson showing off his belly, hes cracked up!
Tyson Fury is probably the most fearless and outspoken fighter out there.
I wonder what the likes of the original Tyson, Lewis and Holyfield would have made of him and how they would have dealt with it leading up to a fight and Tysons absolute unbreakable fearlessness. Would have been interesting.
Haye couldnt cope.
Real Tyson would have wiped Fury away.
Evander may have struggled with the height and reach.
See Lewis get to fury eventually.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
I think we are yet to see the best of Fury and hes still only just 27 but with a goid win over an all time great already. Don't forget your basing this on seeing the best of the others.
I was also talking about the lead up anyway. Being that he has just proved himself to be capable and be able to back up the talk. I think his attitude would get to those fighters. Holyfield intimated along those lines in his interview. Everyone comments on his confidence, everyone. Including all time greats. Regardless of how crass or childish he comes across imagine being in the opponents shoes, no matter what hes saying its always confidence and that on top of actual skill and ability and his size and movement would make him a nightmare for anyone.
Well put up with Fury as long as he's winning, Good interview!
All's lost! Everything's going to shit!
I met Holyfield recently at a boxing charity event here in central California.
I told him "I loved your fight with Bert Cooper!"
He smiled n said "Thank You" which was pretty much the same generic response everyone got even the dopes who know him as "that guy who got his ear bit off".
I'm 6ft 170 lbs and he is a lot bigger in person than you think. Dwarfed me.
Here is the pic:
"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"
He seems a lot more coherent now than he did for a long time when he was fighting, is that just me? He's lucky if so, when you think about the punishment he actually took in the ring over his career, a lot of guys would have been toast and it's usually just a steady decline from there on.
