Thread: What happens if Zab wins??

I know it may seem IMPOSSiBle to alot of you but this is boxing,anything can happen. IF Zab wins,how will it change the landscape? P4P lists? Perceptions of Zab? What will you think of him? I think I won't come online for a while to avoid Starr,Northside and Sal and anyone else who likes Zab

Right Starr? Before you would say that fight was never offered to Zab, well now it's been open up for the winner so lets see what happens.....

I think it depends on how he wins. I think that he will gain more respect by keeping it close or winning by a UD. If it is to close I do not think the judges will give it to him. If he KO's floyd people will call it a lucky shot. Either way he has to be impressive in whatever he does. He is one of those fighters that you either love him or hate him. Not much inbetween.

I'm in between for this one fight.

Yes I think he would. Zab has already shown that he isn't all for the money like Mayweather is. He'd fight Margarito. But I'm sure if Zab wins Mayweather is going to go to court for a rematch. But Zab will fight the winner of Baldomir vs Gatti and then Margarito. And Zab would probably be top 5 p4p Winky or Barerra will be number 1

Well, I wouldn't say he sucks, but he wasn't the man many thought he was. Facts are facts, and Zab has lost twice as a Welter once to Spinks and the other to "9 loss Baldo" and the rest of the time he pretty much fought to the level of his competition. To lose to Zab Judah at this point in his career, spells doom for Mayweather's legacy. Although much props has to go to Zab, of course. As I said earlier, Zab does have a unique combination of talents that Mayweather has yet to see. Yet a Mayweather loss, says more about Mayweather than more about Zab, IMO.

I'm one of the few people on here who actually likes Zab Judah I think. Before christmas he was most people's pound for pound lists and was considered as one of the most exciting talents in boxing. Ok he looked terrible against Baldomir but everyone has an off day.

I don't think he will beat Mayweather but I'm confident he can push him all the way, and will finish up being more higly regarded than he he is now.

When he's focused he can be a handful.

I'm also certain that Zab would fight Margarito given the opportunity win or lose.

Zab may be a lot of things but he definitely isn't a coward. He's always been willing to fight anybody, and when it comes to big fights usually for a lot smaller slice of the pie than his opponents.

Unfortunately his mouth detracts from his many fine qualities and people especially on here regard him as being worse than he actually is. Zab is still a very very good fighter, the best welterweight out there and the biggest challenge for Mayweather at this weight, including Margarito.

I think he will suprise a lot of people come April 8th.

IMO it wont change a thing coz the fact he lost a bum will always show that he is unfocused and wont be champ for long.

I of the first things that will happen is that Zab will NEVER SHUT UP if he wins. We think he talks now, if he somehow pulls off the upset, holy crap his mouth will start running and never shut down.

Zab's stock will go up, but he will have to fight Margarito, or Oscar, and win for him to be back on top, because of his inconsistancy.

Floyd won't be doomed, but he will be forced to fight the Hattons, and Margaritos, or get a rematch with Zab and win his way back.

All in all, if Zab loses, it hurts him more than a loss for Floyd would hurt him.

Even if zab fights as good as he did in spinks II, will it be enough? I used to think it could be, but I doubt we'll see the zab that faught spinks, his mind is fragile, and losing to a 12/1 underdog isn't gonna help that. If by some god damn miracle he wins, I think he'd rematch baldomir, then chase a superfight with hatton/margarito, while floyd looks for oscar. Who knows?
