    Default Question about Audley Harrison

He won the olympic gold, and tho that doesn't always mean alot its usually a good for the things to come or so I thought.. So anyways what type of fighter is he? Fast? Good technically? Both? Hard puncher? He's got good size(almost exactly the same size as Lewis). If he buckled down does he have what it takes to be the World Champion?

He's actually a good athlete for his size, good speed for his size, pretty good technically, but for his size the power is lacking

Honestly, there's never been a better example than Audley that a fighter needs to have a fighter's mentality, to put it simply, he's scared of his own shadow. Even when I've seen him against no hopers, he's been very very cautious.

He's got good size, a nice right jab, but he doesn't throw it nearly enough, a quick left, but he doesn't throw it enough, a seemingly weak chin, not great power, and he's flat out terrified in the ring.

No he won't win a title

That's too bad... well if he doesn't have power I'm not sure people right now want a technical champion right now. THough I would take anything I could get. You say he's a got a weak chin well that might have to do with being scared in the ring... I know that being scared of a punch is more damaging than the punch itself most ofthe time.

might be, I'm not totally sure about his chin, Williams hurt him pretty bad, but other than that he hasn't been hurt bad, as far as I've seen, but all the fights I've seen, besides Williams, were against total no hopers so its hard to tell. I definitely don't think he has a great chin though.

He's got talent, but he's lacking confidence and a boxer has to have confidence, and he's just so inactive

He has everything. But he never uses it. He tries to be Chris Eubank only using 40 percent of what he can really do to win fights. And it's frustrating because we all know he can do better but he chooses not to. With what he has he should be able to destroy Dominick Guinn, but if he doesn't even do that, he's no where fast and just a good sparring partner.

I wonder how he or Guinn would do vs Valuev...you know Nicoli's people are going to look for the EASIEST people to fight but if those guys came into the fight in top form I think on their best nights they would beat Valuev.

Harrison is a very skilled boxer, but as oumafan has said he just doesn't have a fighters mentality at all.

I remember his fight with Robert Wiggins, he had Wiggins in all kinds of trouble on the ropes and was going for a knockout. Wiggins threw a big punch and Harrison literally leapt out of the way to avoid the punch, whereas most decent heavies would have just blocked it or not even noticed it and carried on through it.

Against Williams he looked petrified. In fact the only two times I can recall a fighter looking more scared was Akinwande against Lewis and Bruno in his second fight with Tyson.

Harrison has amazing hand speed and dexterity, his left uppercut, truly is a punch of beauty.

To bad he cannot fight, not even a bit.

He has no power, and his punch resistance is shockingly bad.

I told anyone who would listen, that he had been taken out in sparring by both Williams and Francis, and yet few believed how he inept he was...... until December 2005.
