For some reason I really thought this was gunna be about Broner
Very understandable mistake. Now that you mention it, this thread could become the home for useless bits of boxing news, such as Toney trying to get off cheeseburgers and grab some sort of meaningless record.... or anything having to do with Broner. Think of the thread as a sort of garbage can for boxing.

Do not mock the JFAT or the JFAT alliance. The man has his win now let him ride into the sunset. Though worryingly fight news suggests it might not be the end. Don Quixote.
Must..resist..current....Toney. Looking back this was a great breakdown, not the 'comeback one punch ko' mentioned
Freedom had it in his heavyweight post.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
Exactly. JFAT is the dream, the one that does it for us all. People like to mock him, but show me a fighter who can still show slickness and a chin like that at 48. He could do it at 58 if he wanted to and he would kick all of our arses. He cannot quite touch the sky anymore, but he will always be JFAT and we will never abandon him. I want him to retire, but if he wants to carry on at this level, he could do it until he gets to 100 fights. Toney is not a careerist. He is a fighter. It's like Sinatra coming out with a toupee and a faded memory. You want to see a show. Why wouldn't you do it? Are you supposed to go bird watching? However in saying that, Toney was charging 16 dollars to watch that fight on PPV and to come in at 248 is disrespectful. How can someone get that heavy? Yet how can he remain so slick carrying weight like that too? He would stop Joshua in 3 rounds. And Klitschko in 6. JFAT alliance for life! We've got milk!
He is slurring really badly now.
News about Fury's comeback while hovering at around 400 pounds could eventually become good fodder for this thread.
I think coming in heavy at 48 is just a ruse to bait people into signing the contract. Maybe now all of the HW's who have been and will forever be ducking James Toney will fancy their chances, although perhaps some will be clever enough to spot a wolf in sheeps clothing and go another direction. Only time will tell.
