Thread: Khans opponant announced

Amirs next opponant will be laszlo komjathi. never heard of him,who he'll take on in Belfast.

I wouldn't worry about him, he's probably some russian roadsweeper who's lucky enough to hit the big time by facing Khan.
i still think people need to be brought back to earth with Amir Khan, maybe a few fights not in prime television would be good.

I think theres too much hype around the kid but at the same time he obviously does need to step up his opposition because from the few fights Ive seen he hasn't really been challenged or tested so he's not learning anything just getting early KOs.. It's a difficult spot for his management I could imagine, but if they handle him right and he continues to impress as his opposition gets harder this guy will be huge I can tell.. People already want to make him out to be future champ with like 7 fights.. What if he actually proves to be the real thing after 20 fights?? Lets hope he doesn't become another Nasp though.

bollocks. he's learning everytime he steps in the ring, course he is. there is more to be achieved by gradualy steppin up the quality of his opposition (like frank has been doing) then just throwing him in the deep end. he's 19 and there is no rush. at the moment he is fighting guys with more fights to there name than him, therefore more experienced guys that he can learn from. i'm impressed with him everytime i see him. if you watch him fight live he is so quick.

ive seen him fight live.he didnt learn anything from that martynov or whatever his name was.

he's been doing 2 minute rounds for no longer than 4 rounds all his boxing life, it takes a few fights to adapt to that.
