    Default Davis vs Mares

So apparently this fight is happening. Gervonta Davis is just too big for Mares. It’s a good name on Davis’ record, but again another smaller fighter. He needs to fight someone his own weight. I like Mares a lot, but he is coming up on the end of his career in a weight way higher than his best weight.

I’ll tune in for the fight but it’s not that interesting

What's up with Tank picking on smaller guys, he been beefing with King Ry and Farmer, then takes on former bantamweight.

I can understand that Berchelt is tied up with a mandatory, but Machado and Farmer are around.

What happened to Floyd's claim that Loma was next for Davis? Just keeping Tank in line I guess.

Agreed. There are at least a couple of decent fights to be made with guys at his weight. Mares is just a name. I don’t see him having any chance.

Starting to wonder how invested Mayweather still is in Davis. At least as far as 'the next me' goes. I actually had some new respect for him post fight with Cuellar only to see him running with Broner and talking more bs last month. He's just beating up a spent shell here in Mares. Not to mention how the hell does Mares get close to sniffing a title at jr light. As Charles Barkly would say..it's turrable.

Funnily enough I prefer Mares to Cuellar, would love Mares to pull off the upset, maybe he can revert to his old nut cracker persona to gain an advantage.

Man should have had 10 points deducted . Poor Agbeko was walking around for a month with puddin in his pants. Wouldn't mind an upset myself though.

Mares wasn’t even much of a puncher at bantam. He definitely wasn’t a puncher at feather. He may be able to throw a lot of punches, but he won’t be able to keep Davis off of him.

Sad, Davis is such a talented kid but every indication is he will waste it.

Mares' only chance is Davis comes in unfocused and mares channels some magic. I think Mares gets caught in between shots and blasted out at the end of 2 /beginning of 3.
They want your @$$ beat because upsets make news. News brings about excitement, excitement brings about ratings. The objective is to bring you up to the tower and tear your @$$ down. And if you don't believe that, you're crazy.

Gonzalez did it in 1 so I wouldn't be surprised.
