Boom shaka lakalah!!! Tiz about to be on people!!!
This is the one that Wacko has been waiting all year for & it's only a few days away. I'm so excited about this fight that I've decided to do some early early prep work for what I hope is the blowout of all blowouts & to get us all stirring before fight night!
We even got a poll on this DRBR! Can't wait can't wait can't wait!!!
It's time for another installment of Wacko's Drunken Round By Round featuring the showdown between two of the biggest big mouf's in the business Floyd Mayweather Jr. (35-0, 24 ko's) vs. Zab Judah (34-3, 25 ko's). There's been a lot of wind blowing up to this fight...let's see who comes correct.
Only one man can win...& if that man is Floyd...then it's on to bigger & better things such as Oscar & Hatton or if the people demand it so...then Margarito...whom I care nothing about seeing him face compared to the other two names. There's not really a lot to say about Mayweather himself. If he does come correct & does what it is that he always comes to do...then Judah is going to get completely outclassed.
Right now...the real questions are on Zab Judah. Known as a 95% under acheiver...this is the end all be all for Judah. If Judah loses this one...which I think that he will...will this put to rest the constant lauding of this fool as something special & propel him into boot scrape material...as in Floyd's gonna be scrapping him offa his boot at the end of the fight? Yes I think so.
But if he were to win...if he were to knock Floyd out...holy shat would we have something on our hands.
There's already a lot of drama to this fight & a lot of controversy. Firstly...does Judah deserve the shot after losing to Baldomir? Mayweather & Judah has been hyping this fight for almost a year...& everyone EVERYONE wanted the fight...thinking that Judah would actually put up a fight because he was the Undisputed Champ after knocking out Spinks. Now all that has changed & Baldomir has the title...but the fans wanted Judah Mayweather so badly...& they had put so much work into it...it had to happen.
Personally, Wacko never stopped wanting the fight...anyways, now Mayweather's pissed off because Judah's bailed out on promoting the fight leaving it all up to Floyd. Supposedly Judah has been deep in training for the fight. Bully for him...he'll need it. I hope that Floyd comes in as angry as he was with Gatti & punishes Judah.
While this might not prove anything to those that bitch & complain about Mayweather...namely Margarito fans...it will settle the score that has long been brewing between these two ghetto fabulous motor mouthed speedsters & that's more than enough for me. Again...that is if Floyd wins. Before the Baldomir debacle everyone was saying that Judah had what it took to beat Floyd. Before Baldomir everyone said that if Judah can be that impressive against Spinks...knocking him out in his hometown in front of his own people...surely he could beat Mayweather...again...that was before Baldomir.
Now Judah has been written off as viable competition & now Mayweather's future destructor has now been deemed none other than Antonio Margarito. We shall see. I'd roll my eyes...but it would lose it's desired effect over all these cable, wires, & network connections. Heh heh heh.
But seriously folks...what if...just what if Judah has something under the wraps? What if Judah's really been avoiding the media & training for the fight of his life? What if Judah comes out 110% on Saturday April the Ocho? Will 110% of Zab Judah be enough to stop a climbing Floyd Mayweather who is yet to be 100% proven at 147lbs? I know that that's a lot of numbers...but can Zab add them all up to equal one letter?
Surely a "W" over Floyd Mayweather would bring Judah back into the mix & land him, once again, in P4P lists & talks of greatness world wide? I doubt it...but as always...we shall see.
That being said...let's get down to the skinny of it. Mayweather beats Judah IWO for the main event. Prior to the main event we have quite a few PPV worthy match ups in the form of some little men.
We get the pleasure of seeing flyweight sensation Jorge Arce (43-3-1, 33 ko's) swat it out against Rosendo Alvarez (37-2-2, 24 ko's) over the course of 12 rounds...but seeing as this is the shot for Arce's interim title...we all know damn well that Jorge aint gonna let it go the distance. After that there's Juan Diaz (28-0, 14 ko's) fighting against Jose Cotto (27-0, 19 ko's) to keep his title & also Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (24-0-1, 18 KOs) is going his usual 6 rounds against some flunky who has yet to be named. Oh bwoy!
Honestly people...this is a really really good card that's worthy of the price tag & all the matches should be exciting.
So...as always...break out the chips & salsa...your poison of choice & pick your spot on the couch...Saturday April 8th, 2006 is fight night & it's on like Donkey Kong!
Cheers...& koneecheewah bitches.
