Fight Academy's Dennis Hobson claims he has presented rival promoter Frank Warren with a £1million offer for WBO/IBF Super Middleweight Champion Joe Calzaghe to move up to light heavyweight and fight Clinton Woods for the IBF World Light Heavyweight title this summer. “I'm prepared to pay Calzaghe very well to come up from super-middleweight and face Clinton,” Hobson said. “We could do great box office in Sheffield, Manchester, London or Cardiff.” Hobson also says he would not be requesting any special promotional conditions to make the fight happen. “Not only will Joe get more money than ever before, but he's risking nothing but his reputation. Joe's WBO and IBF Super Middleweight titles would not be at stake and we're not asking for any options or anything like that. I'm looking forward to sitting down with him and making the fight happen."

Hobson offered £100,000 and warren upped it to a cool £500,000
