Just rewatched this fight because of the recent Marquez controversy. What's up with this guy losing all his close fights? My scorecard was: Round 1 - John, Round 2 - Marquez, Round 3 - John, Round 4 - John, Round 5 - Marquez, Round 6 - Marquez, Round 7 - Tough/John maybe/could have been Marquez, Round 8 - Marquez, Round 9 - Marquez, Round 10 - 9-9 Marquez won but deducted point, Round 11 - 10-8 b/c Marquez deducted point, Round 12 - Marquez. 7-5 JMM without point deductions.
