Default Why the fuck is Zab getting so much respect?

Zab has shown in the past that he can be a dirty fighter. He blatantly hit Floyd below the belt and then, even worse IMO, he gave him a pretty good rabbit punch. If you look at the tape, Zab knew exactly what he was doing, his eyes were focused on Floyd's crotch when he threw that low blow. Zab continues to prove each and every time that he's a despicable human being and I won't give him props just because he lasted 12. IMO he was getting punished thoroughly and he would have went down eventually because he was getting extremely tired and worn out. And the worst part of this whole debacle is that he actually thanked his "lord and savior" during his interview with Lampley. What a herb.

dirty fighter or no dirty fighter, Zab showed he could fight and was not scared of Floyd.

to go 12 rounds with the P4P best in the world - thats a pretty impressive feat. yes zab can be a twat but dont u think that deserves a least a little respect?

Good call, Zab is a talented fighter but he's not all that and I still can't get that image out of my head where Kostya Tszu battered him.

PBF is the business, they keep putting people in front of him and he keeps beating them.
He may be a bit of a twat but he sure knows how to win and he is a sweet fighter.

I wish Ricky Hattons management could do something other than bimble about giving us a snore fest.
They should keep Ricky in light welter and let him have a pop at Cotto before Cotto moves up.

I agree that judah shouldn't be getting that much respect. IMO it wasn't that good of a performance by Zab. I think corley gave Mayweather a better fight.Alot of people are trying to give zab all this credit for doing good in 3 rounds but forget its a 12 round fight. If I saw a judges card that had floyd winning everything after 4 I wouldn't be mad. No disrespect to zab cause he did ok for a second. He probably should of got credit for a knockdown. But he couldn't put a dent in mayweather. I think that was zabs best shot and all it did was knock him off balance. But from 5 on he was total outclassed and throughly beat up. Mayweather didn't knock him out but thats probably the worst I've seen judahs face. Mayweathers face was blemish free. So will I give zab credit for surviving? Yes. Will I give him credit for being a man and stepping in the ring? Yes,but not for giving a great effort. It seemed like he lost his heart when he couldn't land anymore. He was afraid to let his hands go.I can't give credit for that.
Step up so I can put you down

I don't think anyone in the boxing world is giving Zab much respect, only a few delusional fans here. According to them, he was supposed to be the natural welterweight, the one with more power who was going to catch Floyd and knock him out, and Floyd came up to his weight class, took his belt, and there ain't a damn thing he can do about it.

I thought Zab fought Mayweather not Barrera

As for Zab, if boxing and society had the values it had 15/20 years ago, he would of received a life time ban after the Tszyu fight (Bobby Frankham did exactly the same thing in 1987, and was thrown out of the sport for life). But I guess money is more important now a days.

If it was back in the day then Corrales never would have fought again either

    Or Merqui Sosa.

But anyway he deserves respect and it was a good performance, he gave PBF some problems and fought his ass off and didn't come to lay down, I respect that plus that 95 percent of you didn't even think that Zab would put up that much of a challenge for PBF.

Simple answer to a simple question: He is getting respect because he deserves it. I am by no means a Zab fan(I dislike the guy) but I'm not going to let that blind the fact that he had a good fight and had he let his hands go more, like he did in the second& fourth, who knows? I personally and like Starr said,95%(I'd say 98%) thought he was going to get koed but he won the first few rounds easy and also, why the hell was there no knockdown scored in the second(or first, can't remember)when Floyd's glove hit the floor clearly from a punch!!
Don't let blind hatred take kudos away from a guy who lost to a journeyman and now went 12 with P4P Mayweather.
P.S. No, I do not like Zab,he is still a jerk and it was an intentional low blow. I just respect him for his performance last night, that's all.

I agree totally. Zab wears a star of David on his trunks and thanks his "lord and savior" Jesus Christ? That's not a bad thing, but something tells me that he's not a messianic Jew (a Jewish person who believes that Christ was a great spiritual teacher who continued and expanded the teachings of Moses).

I looked it up on the internet: http://www.menorah.org/mjews.html :

    "Messianic Jews
Among the 14 million Jewish people there is a group of perhaps twenty or thirty thousand people, born Jews, who believe in the Torah and the rest of the Tenach and practice Jewish customs and religion. They also believe in Jesus. Some, if not most of them, prefer to call Him by His Jewish name, Yeshua. Although small in number, they are a vocal group, constantly challenging the Jewish spiritual and secular authorities with their presence, demanding recognition as Jews."

Do you honestly believe that Zab Judah understands this? I very much doubt it!

Don't exactly have to look too hard to find a reason to downgrade Zab. His last two fights should suffice

This is a boxing site, so both of you can keep your religous beliefs to yourself, who the hell cares what religion Judah is, bringing religion into a boxing site, what the hell are you guys thinking, you want to start a war.
