Default James Caan dead at 82

    Damn... what a downer.

I loved James Caan in movies. He was perfect as Sonny Corleone in The Godfather, and I was sad when he was killed off there, too.

He was the quintessential bad guy, who could pull off the occasional comedy, as when he played a Mafioso dad in "Mickey Blue Eyes."

Damn... I'm gonna miss that guy. R.I.P., James. My thoughts and prayers to his family.

Godfather, Rollerball, Freebie and the Bean, Brian's Song and he was ace as Mississippi in El Dorado with the Duke and Robert Mitchum.

Man what a career. A cool actor.

And what about Elf! He was also great in the Las Vegas series.

    RIP

Icon of a great real movie era. One classic after another. Must have watched Rollerball, Brians Song and A Bridge Too far 100 times with the ol man. Remember Alien Nation? Actually was very good in that. Caan could go hot to cold in the instant or keep that stony calm straight thru! Loved this scene, RIP sir
