"Teofimo Lopez Battles Jose Pedraza On December 10th In New York"
Well... this is certainly an intriguing fight. I like Teo as a fighter... but in this one I'm afraid I'm gonna be rooting for my local guy.
Seems to have the potential to be an extremely crowd-pleasing fight. One thing about Pedraza is he's got an impressive resume. This guy will fight anybody, as his record will attest. He does have the 4 losses, as sometimes he seems to come up just a bit short. I imagine Teo will be favored in this fight... but it seems like a hard one to predict for me. I'm happy to know it'll be on ESPN.
Good/solid fight- agree with everything you said. I give Teo credit, Pedraza is a tough fight for anyone. Pedraza reminds me of Jose Luis Castillo who had five losses while beating some top names in a stacked lightweight division and who also was a tough fight for anyone (including an undefeated Floyd). For some fighters the losses are “seasoning” and they help the fighters become true professionals. Freddie Pendleton, Castillo, Vince Philips, Keith Mullings, and Micky Ward are examples of guys who had losses but were solid fighters. This will be a good fight and great barometer/indicator for Teo at 140.
