and if they had the same gloves i feel zab would have stopped mayweather in the fourth. he landed a straight left but mayweather took some of the blow on his gloves

no, they were both 8oz, they were just FAR bigger, which made blocking punches easier![]()

so u agree
He could of stopped him in the fourth if he hadn't gone nuts when he rocked Floyd and hadn't started lunging at his gloves when his ribs where wide open.
Another way to look at it... perhaps those puffy gloves saved Judah seeing as how he took about 100 punches more than Floyd, and his chin has been suspect in the past. Maybe those gloves allowed Judah to finish the fight a little lumpy, rather than dancing about the ring with his wobbly legs.Originally Posted by AdamGB
People need to drop it... it was a decisive win. Judah was only in the fight until Mayweather figured him out. It wasn't gloves, or a 10th round brawl. It was Judah being outclassed by the better man. Judah even admitted that the better man won.
Just acknowledge that Judah was outdone... and hope for a rematch. Since you feel Judah is better, Judah will clearly dominate Floyd in the rematch.
Judah came with a game plan, Floyd figured it out and retaliated, Judah could not answer, he retreated into survival mode, and then into desperation mode with a punch to the balls. A champion makes adjustments. Things don't go the champs way from the openning bell everytime. But by the end of the fight, the champ has adjusted and taken control of the fight, and as a result secured the win.
I doubt they had more padding on the Knuckles, no one would wear them... Winnings or who ever they are make gloves to sell....
Zab does the Chicken dance when he's caught cold... every clean punch Floyd hit him with that could of rocked him, he saw coming but failed to defend... hence no chicken dance.
Floyd's not a big puncher either.
I'm not saying Judah wasn't out done... he had the fight and let it slip... I'm not a fan of either fighter
Another thing... with Mayweather's 'massive' gloves, Zab had more to block... yet he failed to do that.
This debate is futile. I'll bet you not even Zab would blame the loss on Mayweather's gloves.
If anything, the winnings gloves had less padding around the knuckles. Think about it. They are twice as big as Judah's gloves, yet way the same. So all that weight and padding has to spread out along a much larger surface, thus making them actually lighter around the fist, and possibly packing more of a punch. One thing is for sure, they certainly aided in Floyd's defense.Originally Posted by YounGun

You agree with my little theory?Originally Posted by SalTheButcher

Your stupid if they had the same gloves Mayweather would have broken his hand ko'ing Judah.Originally Posted by artest2000
Also did you listen to the commentating at all they distinctly said that gloves weighed the same weight... And even if they were heavier for Floyd that makes you punch slower, and it pads your punches more and means you don't hit as hard.
