there have been a few minor rule updates for season three. if you can all have a think if there are any things, you would like to add or change to start the new year with season four. things like length of season (three or four months, longer or shorter seasons), number of fights. post all your thoughts or pm master or myself. all ideas will be considered & implemented where possible

Thanks, TIC. Terrific job on the first two seasons. I probably won't catch either you or Primo in the last week of Season 2 (and could get caught by Big J if I slip up )... but it's been a great experience. I don't know about the rest of the guys... but this challenge got me looking at the most obscure fighters I would've never even heard of otherwise.

I'll be back to go for the title.

All the rules (old and new) are great. This one I think is very important.

thanks titofan. i appreciate you taking the time to play. i think primo carnera has pulled away enough to secure the championship as well but we have ten fights for the final week & a few of them could go either way. i try to include title fights, even if they are one-sided, as the fighters are generally better known. some weeks there aren't enough bigger fights so i try to look for the most competitive left, this can result in obscure fighters appearing but sometimes also results in hidden gems. i'm glad to hear you'll be back, you were only two points behind me & made a very good come back. i will try to mention the leader each week when i post the next weeks set of fights to get their picks in early if possible

I'll be back for the next season as well
I've improved on my last ranking
You are right about some of the obscure fighters
I like that all weights are covered & from many different locations
I think that rule is very important as well
It makes the leader have to be confident in their picks without any knowledge of how others are thinking

I'm aiming for a top 3 finish this season

    Round 1 picks

Masood Abdulah UD, Hopey Price UD, Kieron Conway UD, Leigh Wood UD, Haro Matevosyan UD, Osleys Iglesias KO2, Gilberto Ramirez KO11, Ginjiro Shigeoka KO5, Petchmanee CP Freshmart UD, Tomoki Kameda KO8
Abdulah might be biting off more than he can chew
    Price by wide schooling
Is Conway the upset? I’m not so sure
Wood can box or bang, it’ll be smarter if he boxes
Matevosyan seems like a good boxer
    Iglesias is a hidden gem
Ramirez is too big but not much better
Ginjiro wins his 1st championship title
Freshmart prevents his brother from doing the same
Kameda is on his way to a title shot at 126

    Good luck to you all

I'm gonna follow your lead with the comments, Big J.

A tough Week 1... but I'll take a crack at it.

Abdulah by UD - (Leach is slick, but has been inactive. Abdulah has the talent.)
Price by UD - (Should be easy work for him.)
Udofia by SD - (Tough one to pick... but Udofia should pull it out.)
Wood by UD - (Should be very close.)
Matevosyan by UD - (Haro should be busier, and he's home.)
Iglesias by TKO-3 - (Reis won't be able to keep him off of him.)
Ramirez by UD - (Joe's durable, but Zurdo has more skills.)
    G. Shigeoka by TKO-9 - (Valladares can hang, but gets stopped late.)
CP Freshmart by UD - (Who calls their kid Freshmart??)
Kameda by UD - (Dlamini will give him all he can handle, but will lose decision at home.)

I honestly think this is a great idea, but if I’m leading , in reality I may struggle because I don’t get time early in the week to look at this in detail. But I’ll plug away and see how it goes.
I’m not whingeing, I think the rule should be implemented. But I’m just giving advance warning that I may fall foul of it.
Can’t stress enough that I fully support it though. 👍

i don't really want to penalize anyone, it just gives the others a chance to go against the leaders picks if they choose to wait for them to be posted. that's not always a good thing. in the final round of last season i changed a few of my predictions to go against yours, i was going with canelo by unanimous decision but saw you went with a decision so went for the knockout. i'll continue to try & get the next weeks fights up as early as possible to give the leader a few days to get their picks in
