Anyone giving Taylor a shot? I didn’t see the first fight, was it competitive or one sided?
When I read about it most seem to think Cameron controlled the fight more than the scorecards would indicate

It was a decent fight but Cameron was always the better fighter. Taylor came on stronger near the end but she was too far behind to pull it back.
It was a compelling contest worth the rematch but can only see the same result again.

Going to edit and use this thread for the rematch.
The atmosphere looks amazing.

Cameron is too strong, big and better than Taylor so far. She had a legitimate knockdown not counted in the first round.

Really? Yes the knockdown looked legit. But it's an even fight for me. Taylor looks way better than the first go around. Cameron trying too hard to overpower her.

Taylor surprisingly is winning the fight on her backfoot landing flurries with the crowd going wild.

Cameron fighting a bit smarter now and her strength is showing. Taylor needs a big effort here to win this round so Cameron doesn't sweep the final three.

Fair play to Taylor. I thought she was done several fights ago and that Cameron would be too big, too strong and too good once again. I didn't think she had that in her. She's got some serious stones on her that girl.

Taylor wins it majority decision. Katie fought in flurries and then held on. Cameron did not put enough pressure and the crowd influenced the judges with one scorecard 8-2.
Taylor deserved the decision.
A third fight?

Surprised she managed to do it, Taylor is a very good boxer but she did look old and tired last time, she seems like a good person too, so well done, I like this result.
It was set up for Katie to win.
She's bland looking, sexless and yes, the older she gets, the uglier she's getting but I'd still smash and Chantelle would get the BBC (big black cock) too
It’s clear to see why Katie doesn’t want 3 min round fights, she wouldn’t make it past the 4th round
Her stamina is pitiful.
But she really games the system and takes advantage of it being 2 minute rounds, little flurries of nothing and then falling in and holding. If they won't do 3 min rounds, make it 2:30 mins, that extra 30 secs and fighters like Taylor would be in trouble.
But in the 2 min round format she can shoe shine, octopus grab, and billy goat butt the fk out of fighters like she done with Cameron all night. Let’s see her get away with those tactics in England. Ref could and should have took points. I can't stress enough the way she repeatedly holds to hide her woeful stamina
And what was with the sickening pro Taylor commentary ?
Taylor sounded like she was slurring her words in the post-fight interview. She took plenty uppercuts and she'd be wise to retire now rather than chase the trilogy payday
I had it 95-95 on my card but as I say, geez that commentary was biased, it was laughable.
Also Cameron had a legit KD which they brushed over and 98-92 to Taylor is one of the worst cards ever.
The bottomline is this
Women's boxing need 12 rounders.
Either that or they carry on in the carpark

Interesting, this talk about 3-minute rounds for women.
Amanda Serrano is one of the women boxers championing the change to 3 minutes. I suspect had Serrano's fight with Katie Taylor been with 3-minute rounds, they'd still be trying to wake Katie up with smelling salts. Speaking of which, any thought of a rematch between these two went by the boards when Katie up and lost to Cameron. Maybe now it's Chantelle that Amanda needs to see.
Amanda Serrano came the closest to stopping Taylor when they fought whilst Cameron was just bigger and better the first time.
Taylor is a tough competitor and willingly takes on these hard challenges so credit to her for that but she would not last 3 minute rounds against either fighter.
The atmosphere was electric in the arena and they were talking about a stadium fight for the tribology. I do not think Taylor has much left to achieve in her career after that one.

Someone the caliber of Taylor can't simply adjust and pace herself a bit better for a three minute round. We're not crediting her with enough experience or intelligence to do that? I totally understand where this assumption comes from. She empties the tank in a two minute round and looks like an earthquake survivor come the end. But this idea that she's a sitting duck from 121 seconds onwards is a nonsense. The flip side of course. With a bit of extra time on her hands and the need to be so frantic reduced, Taylor might actually be better and put daylight between herself and these girls that have run her close in a two minute round fire fight.
This idea that Taylor was liberal with her head is also nonsense. Two fighters clash heads, one gets cut the other doesn't. Doesn't automatically make the unscathed guilty of anything. It's just bad luck.
