Spence was lucky to survive what could've easily been a fatal car crash in 2019.

But that retinal tear in 2021 I'm sure made him reflect on his career even more.

Then two years later he gets thumped by Crawford.

I wouldn't be surprised if he did retire.

Fundora is being walked out like a mere belt warmer with all the name drops and it's unfortunate. A Spence fight isn't happening, and it means more top caliber inactivity for two otherwise solid guys. I was with Spence from day 1 but the immediate write off and disappearance post Crawford is a tough pill. Absolute respect for Bud but I'll never forget thinking that Spence was half resigned walking to that ring. His whole look and lead up. No idea where he is physically but tbf Spence should not even be thinking about a Fundora type return. And majority of fans will clown guys for taking a lighter touch off the ppv stage today but that's exactly what they need.

Spence is milking as much money he can get out of his career with a shot body.

The Crawford rematch would have been another one sided beating, he is only getting a title shot now because of his connections.

If he was really serious about continuing long term he would have a few low profile contests to get rid of his inactivity and get his name back in the picture.

Instead he will cash out and retire on a high profile loss.
