Default AJ v Fury will happen no matter what….

I have a horrible feeling that AJ v Fury will happen no matter what….

Even though the fight is past it’s sell by date all roads lead to AJ v Fury in 2025. The promoters will ensure that it happens regardless of what should happen.

If Fury beats Usyk he will face AJ next year.

If Usyk beats Fury, Fury will face AJ.

Usyk will get step aside money and maybe even face Dubois whilst waiting for winner AJ v Fury.

I do not expect AJ to activate the rematch clause against Dubois. Daniel will wait for the winer Usyk v Fury and the rest of the division will have to wait or fight one another.

    What do other people think?

Is there a rematch clause for the second Fury Usyk fight? If Fury wins Usyk might be able to insist on a rematch or the Saudis might buy one.

If Usyk wins, and I expect him to win easier than he did the first time, Fury against Joshua makes sense for both of them. They can make a ton of money even without a belt at stake and there's a good chance of a rematch.

Usyk can fight Dubois. I don't expect Usyk to fight Fury or Joshua again after he's beaten them both twice.

If Fury gets the cards in rematch I think Usky has a snowballs chance in hell of getting a third fight. But if/when Usyk gets the victory, they may just bribe Usyk to have him retire . Amazing just thinking Usyk stands on the edge of going 4-0 vs the two considered the best of their era. Oops on them. Money talks and AJ-Fury may come off but I have zero interest in it. Who actually thought a Usyk-Dubois rematch would now be viable and anticipated. But one thing at a time, this is why they fight the fights. AJ may very well end up in some end of the line fight with Wilder for the chao$ of it. But I think Wilders stock and believability checked out a few fights ago.

Yep I can see it happening for sure.

I can see Fury nicking the rematch with Usyk and after that a Spic says I'd expect an AJ match up as if AJ loses a dubois rematch it's dead in the water.

Trying to figure out where Zhang might figure in all this

Zhang is a hard night's work for anybody. He absolutely wrecked Wilder although Wilder was already damaged goods to be fair. Not much upside to beating him and lots of reasons to stay away from him currently. He needs enough promotional/Saudi muscle to get him a title shot.

It's ok talking about Zhang, but are we gonna just airbrush Joseph Parker out of the picture?
the guy beat Zhang and Wilder in his last 2 fights, which is better form than anyone bar Usyk in the HW Division at the minute.
Parker should be the next cab off the rank for a World Title shot, whether it be Dubois or Usyk he faces.
Admittedly if Fury beats Usyk , Fury v Parker may not happen , because they are very good mates.

It probably will still happen, even , No especially if Fury loses.
I don’t blame the fighters, who the fuck would turn that pension down ?
It’s ultimately Joe Public to blame. If the appetite for it wasn’t there from the public, it wouldn’t get made.
It’s too easy to say “yeah but the Saudis this and the Saudis that”. But even they don’t throw money away.
At some point they want a return on their investment, who doesn’t?
I think we’re too easily satisfied nowadays.
Let’s be honest, if Fury were to lose, this is nothing more than a good domestic dust up. Cooper/Bugner, Bodell/Mcalinden , not even a Lewis/ Bruno.
