    Default Mayweather-Tszyu at 147

There have been talks about it, and as you may know I am a big supporter of Kostya as he is my favorite fighter. But my question is how would he fair against a prime Mayweather being presumably at the end of his career? He has fought PBFs last 2 opponents in recent years and gave them both a considerably worse beating than PBF, but that doesnt mean that he could do the same to Mayweather. He is a lot stronger than PBF and he does specialize in beating slick boxers, but how would he handle Floyds speed. I think that this would be a great fight, but id like to see Tszyu take a tune up first cause hes been sooo inactive in recent years.

PBF would be able to outbox Tsyzu with the better conditioning....seeing as age is well on PBF side.

You never bet against a mayweather or a tszyu usually (barring V hatton IMO ) so I'm gonna take a nice comfy seat on the fence for this one, If someone said to me 'your god and you get to pick the winner' I'd pick tszyu simply because I think he's a great man and a true gent, but purely as a boxing analyst... I haven't a clue whether tszyu would land his big right or floyd would run rings round him. I'm stumped!

I did, and fair play to him, I'm just off in fantasy land where all the greats fight in my head. BTW in my head prime eubank beats prime hagler, tyson beats foreman, judah beats leonard, pig flies overhead

As of right now, I'm not betting against Mayweather in any fight up to light-middleweight.

    Mayweather's not a welterweight.

Tszyu would out-point him, so much stronger than Mayweather.

You wrote that backwards, Floyd would definately outbox Tszyu, for a UD.

I think all you would have to is look at the Gatti fight to see what would happen to KT. KT will or would suffer a beating worthy of retirement.

Hagler in his prime would wipe the floor with Eubank. Leonard lost to Hagler and Hagler was 3 years past his prime.

So were comparing Tsyzu to Gatti now? Tsyzu was three times the boxer that Gatti was. PBF would probably decision him but there's no need for a Gatti comparison

I was simply stating that PBF is in a different league. I also don't think KT's heart is truely into boxing anymore. Those two combine for a bad time for KT.

Never bet aginst Kostya Tszyu. But at 147 I don't know. tszyu tortures himself in training and it's what makes him so deadly, getting to 147 from where he is now he wouldn't be torturing himself as much unless it was muscle. But Tszyu could give Mayweather some fits, but Mayweather would know that pressing the action is the best thing to do against Tszyu, train for his style and find a way. But I want Mayweather to get hit by that thunder of a right hand just once

It would be a hard fight for both. None of this gatti and tszyu comparing shit coz gatti is nothing compared to tszyu. Gatti didnt have the weapons to deal with pbf...tszyu does. Tszyu is not a brawler and does like to box and this fight would be a chess match. Tszyu has the huge right hand which if he lands could hurt pbf. I wouldnt make a pick unless this fight happened but judging on the way tszyu handles boxers then id have to lean towards him.

if we were talking about the kostya of a few years ago i would say he gives PBF a run for his money....but with his age and inactivity i dont see him winning as of now....floyd by decision...
