Default Cheavon Clarke v Leonardo Mosquea

BOXING is back in Monaco this weekend and Brit cruiserweight star Cheavon Clarke is on the undercard.

The former Team GB Olympian has been marauding his way through the pro ranks at cruiserweight so far, winning a British title in just eight fights.

But now he's looking to pick up European honours against Leonard Mosquea in Monte Carlo.

A win would also put him into the picture for a world title shot in the next 18 months; so there's a lot on the line for the 33-year-old.

The card is just four fights deep and will be headlined by super-bantamweight fighter Murodjon Akhmadaliev's clash against Ricardo Espinoza.

Murodjon Akhmadaliev vs Ricardo Espinoza - 12 rounds - for vacant WBA interim super-bantamweight title

Beatriz Ferreira vs Licia Boudersa - 10 rounds - for Ferreira’s IBF women’s lightweight title

Chev Clarke vs Leonardo Mosquea - 12 rounds - for vacant European cruiserweight title

Gary Cully vs Maxi Hughes - 10 rounds - lightweights

Teremoana Teremoana vs Volodymyr Katsuk - 6 rounds - heavyweights

Hughes wins in an impressive performance beating Cully by UD. He won every round according to the judges.

Maxi lost against Kambosos and Zepeda but this is a good comeback.

Clarke using his feet and jab to win 5th round. He needs to stick with that tactics to win the contest.

Split decision win for Mosquea. Chev did well to survive the first round knockdown and comeback from that calamatous start.

Akhmadaliev destroys Espinoza in 3 rounds. Very impressive performance to win interem title and challenge Inoue next.

Made it just in time to catch Akhmadaliev and impressive nails it. The southpaw right couldn't miss Espinoza and once he smells it, he goes all in for it. The insanity is Akhmadaliev only being ranked in two of the four bodies. All for Eddie and MJ calling it up and it's a mega showdown both Inoue and the division are due for. On a side note Sonny Edwards in that tux gave flashbacks of David Byrne in the Stop making sense vid

Just sat through a night of mainly women's boxing. Lauren Price and Natasha Jonas won.

    But never again.

They seem to think it's another stream of untapped income. It really isn't. I liken women boxing to how the NFL is seen outside of America

It'll never truly catch on, no matter how much they try. Sure you'll have a brief look at the superbowl if it's on screen and even then you're only watching to see the half time performance.

Women's "boxing" is two ugly chicks making each other even uglier over the course of multiple boring rounds of girlyarm punching. Why would anyone, including other women, watch that?

Women don't care about women boxing ,why should anyone care ?
