King "influenced" a lot of people after he became successful promoter. He got his conviction quashed and I am sure this opportunity was gained with undue influence. He was probably protected by organised crime because he made so much money for them. King ripped off boxers for so long he would have been a billionaire but he keeps on doing it even up to today.
