Seems like he's done a good deal and will make a fair few quid, however I can't help but feel a little sad about this.

I dunno, almost seems like he has been forced to sell his identity, his soul even...........

50 million. It's not like anyone will think any less of him. I'm happy for muhammed ali.

I bet he'd trade all that money to be "ALI" again. Other than that I'm glad he's getting paid.

wait, does he still have discretion, like, say they make him out to be gay or a wifebeater, does he still have a say?

CKX is who bought his name and they are a respectable incorperation and have Elvis's name also ...its not like he sold his name to marvel comics or somesh*t

they buy out names so like if any company wants to make merchandise or movies they go through CKX instead of talking to Alis lawyers or whoever ...like they gave Ali 50 million ...but they may make 500 million off his name in movies or toys or ANYTHING in the next 10 yrs so his name will pay for himself ..also with him getting old in age its really difficult to manage your own name and hes still gonna get 20% of everything in the future which is a really really good deal,

thats a brilliant idea for a company
