Thread: Boxing available on itunes!

I was on the showtime.com site reading a recap of the Lacy Calzaghe fight and saw that Showtime signed a deal with itunes so now showtime matches are going to be available. I think that's great! Only costs $1.99 to download the whole fight in high quality which is perfect for a cheap ass like me who doesnt want to dish out the dough to get them on tv. I'd suggest if you have itunes to download it to support it. Hopefully espn and hbo will sign on in the future and everyone could be getting some really good fights for a couple bucks.

By the way, I haven't posted here in awhile for a while, nice to be back and I'm hoping to get all caught up on the boxing happenings Ive missed the past 7 months or so

That sounds a bit unbelievably low priced!

Frank Warren has brought out a dvd of Lacy Calzaghe for £12.99, I'm sure he would not approve of any legal supplier selling it online for less than $2!

And what about HBO and Showtime. How could HBO charge $59 for a fight you could download for $2 a few days later.

I'm downloading it right now it's 1 hour 34 minutes so I think it includes pre fight, fight, and post...

Lacy-Calzaghe is the only one available right now b/c i think showtime and itunes just made the agreement.

I know it sounds too good to be true but, yup, whole thing for $1.99

Hopefully it's a sign of good things to come...showtime has some really good fights on so im looking forward to using it. And if espn and hbo sign on then its going to be a utopia for fight fans...im used to downloading crappy, low-quality uploads of fights and $2 for high quality full fight is incredible

Yeah its a good thing, the only thing is its been out since like the week after Calzaghe-Lacy and as far as I know thats still the only fight they have, I could be wrong on that though
