Default Who was the best Dr Who?

Who do you have? They've had 15 of them now, but who was the best one? I would say that the best version of Dr Who was Tom Baker's reprisal of the role. Possibly the best era of storytelling in the entire affair, outside of Matt Smith's era...

Tom Baker for the first Dr Who for me too.

I did follow it until the reprisal but got bored after Tennant.

His version of the Master was scary too.

I watched from Tom Baker to Sylvester McCoy but gave up as he was awful. Restarted with Ecclestone and Tennant when it was revived but stopped after that. Sometimes watch the Christmas specials.

Tom Baker by a country mile. The scarf, that voice, the slightly unhinged eccentricity. Wrapped up of course with a lot of our childhood memories when there were just three TV channels here in Blighty and Saturday night TV with the family was an event.
