Default Nobody told me VEGETABLES for weight loss!

I know this post sounds dumb, right. I have always ate my vegetables from since a child. But over the last year or so I have just neglected to get them as much as I used to. I have been on my weight loss journey and ACCIDENTALLY found out that vegetables help with weight loss.

Not just to eat them because they are low fat/carbs, but because when you eat them with a meal, they help to break down the sugars and the fats that put on the pounds.

I feel so dumb for not adding my vegetables to my diet over the last 12 months or so. Starving myself going on fasts won't cut it, you need to add veggies to your diet.

Grapefruit, I swear by it. One big regret lately is not having invested the time and know how to sharpen up my green-thumb. Growing your own. I go thru Romas, ginger root, onion and bell peppers every single day. Right now we're paying $6.00-$8.00 for 2 yellow onions and 2 peppers. Adds up

$8 sounds criminal... usually the red onions cost about 75 cents or so, but never $6 or $8. lolol...

I hate vegetables, other than potatoes which for some reason do not count.

I have lost a lot of weight by cutting out sugar from tea, cereals and stopped eating cakes/biscuits.

yeah you need to grow your own, aside from the benefit of knowing how they've been grown, you'll notice it in your grocery bill

It comes down to time to cultivate. People just don't have the time... I have a few fruit bearing trees in the yard. But I don't have time to grow them the way I want to.

Times the one. As well as immediate environment. We actually had a small garden, a couple of boxes, with the neighbor that were doing Roma’s and cilantro of all things and then last hurricane season came and wiped it out. They reset at the very end but then the freeze a couple weeks ago killed everything and even the palms in my front yard. Indoors would be ideal but now we’re talking land and time too.

a few of my neighbors & i planted several fruit trees on the easements around our area in early twenty twenty for anyone to help themselves. over the last year they have been overflowing. wouldn't that be nice to see on every street?
