Gotta take a hard pass on this one. Bit insane asking $80. But the Rayo v Russell and even Martin v Puello are interesting to me. Tank I just don't know anymore. The man is exciting and has notched up a little bit. But at the same time, it feels like he's grown too content and mentally fat. He's going thru the motions now in a shamefully pedestrian but stacked division. A division so stacked he settles on bringing a guy up from a lower division
Genuinely concerned about Julian Williams going on. Absolute respect tried and true, tremendous fighter always showed up. But he's done and the signs are pretty evident.
I don’t see Tank having any trouble with Roach unless he’s overlooked him. Expect another mid-to-late KO. Valenzuela vs. Russell is the fight of the card for me—if Valenzuela stays disciplined and avoids a firefight, he can box his way to a decision. Puello vs. Martin is a solid clash of technical southpaws, but it has snooze-fest potential. With Martin’s inactivity, I give the edge to Puello.
Tank fans out in mass tonight. Had a stream and lost a stream some time ago. But caught majority of it and thought Martin won that fight vs Puello. Pretty much missed all else.

Tank took a knee and the inactivity hurt his performance.
Roach fought a smart fight covered well, attacked immediately countering Davis success and hurt Gervonta numerous times.
Rematch would be the best option.

knockdown should have been called

How did the ref not call that a knockdown? Tank even went to his corner, and they worked on him. Are they just making up the rules now? I had Roach winning 115-113—that was one of the worst calls I’ve seen. I also thought Martin edged it, but it was razor-close. Puello gets another tight one in his favor. Russell dominated, but it was still an entertaining fight. Thought Valenzuela’s corner might pull him out late, but they let him see the final bell. Hopefully, that’s the last we see of both Julian Williams & Jarrett Hurd in the ring.
Logan Paul was in the crowd and rumour was that if Davis won he was going to be next for him.
Crazy world of boxing.![]()

Finally had a chance to have a proper watch of main event in full. Off the top, I severely overlooked Roack going in. That won't happen again. Now granted I've always believed there is a big difference from absorbing and scoring fights after the fact rather than live. Seeds are planted good and or bad and there is no such thing as spoiler free today.
But man! Roach was absolutely in a zone from start to finish. Very poised and tbh he beat Tank in so many different facets. Faster/sharper puncher and won the majority of the exchanges. He had Tank hesitating to pull the trigger in gaps because of those compact counter, punch for punch and he applied the pressure from jump. That jab was the real deal. It got to the point where Tank was stuck and reduced to anchoring on a twitchy left foot and hoping on loaded left bombs. Had a big surge in 7th with combos and Tank got a great combo of his own off in the 8th. Roach ate every bit of it and answered right back. Great chin too. At end I just didn't have it close, with Roach at 117-112, maybe 116-112.
The 9th round call/none call was a fiasco and looked borderline raw corruption. I've always liked Steve Willis but what in the actual feck was that. And he started a count...only to stop let Tank Peter pan off into his corner for a wipe down. Tank actually looked right at Willis just prior to taking a knee. He took a left jab and went down delayed. More amazed at seeing so many fans defending the none-call by insisting taking a knee "is not a knock down"
. Horrendous blown none call and not calling it proved to be the deciding point between a Roach W and the Draw. Very much looking to the rematch, if it's not bogged down in court forever and if Tank doesn't just choose to do that retirement he was talking about leading into the fight.
Do you believe this?
Gervonta Davis' controversial clash with Lamont Roach was a massive commercial success.
The fight generated a massive $6,415,815 gate from 16,420 tickets sold plus 766 comps, according to an Authorized Combative Sports Tax Return audit from New York State.
The 17,186 attendees fall just shy of the overall attendance record.
However, it is the highest-grossing boxing event ever to take place at the famous venue and is second for any show in Barclays Center history.
