If you had the power to change one thing in boxing to instantly improve the sport, what would it be? One single change that would have the biggest impact—what's your pick?

Only one??
Damn. That's tough to pick, 'cause I have several.
But if I could only make one choice, I would completely overhaul the judging system in boxing. Make judges accountable. Too many judges get away with lousy decisions or outright robberies. After two guys spend months in the gym, in sparring, sacrificing their families and their time... it's ludicrous that they should get shafted by corrupt and/or inept judging. Make judges accountable. Plus maybe increase the number of judges to five. Who knows. May or may not be practical. But the more eyes on a fight, the better and more possibility of a fair outcome.
You said one, so I'll stop there.![]()
One STRICT NON CORRUPT OR POLITICAL governing body (not including a money laden fanboy).
Former Undisputed 4 belt Prediction champion. Still P4P and People’s Champion.
Make the view for fans better. No TV camera men covering your view of the boxers. Transparent ropes.
Hell, I would have the ring low so that it can be seen by everyone.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
I'd change Alexander Povetkins hair - It just used to annoy me
I'd change Ricky Hatton thinking he’s a stand up comedian.
I'd change balding white American announcers with dreadlocks never being able to announce surnames twice. You hear me David Diamante ?
I'd change that no one can say "There’s levels in boxing" There’s levels in every sport.
On a serious note
I'd change judges and have 5 judges instead of 3 for championship fights. - Reason: This can eliminate doubious judging and more difficult/expensive to pay the judges
I'd change that it's impossible to cut boxing from the olympic
This is list is gonna grow when I've thought of some more

not allow boxers & promoters to have exclusive network deals
It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it.
Some great suggestions so far. I agree that judging needs serious reform—scorecards in close fights are often all over the place. Increasing the number of judges could help, but accountability is key. Commissions should be responsible for selecting, paying, and disciplining judges, removing those with bad scorecards from high-level fights and putting them on lower-tier bouts as probation.
This ties into Primo Carnera's point—boxing desperately needs one strict, independent governing body with no corruption or political ties. It should oversee everything from pro to amateur boxing, enforcing consistent rules for PEDs, missed weights, and poor judging.
Another issue is exclusive promoter and network deals, which only cause division. Fighters should operate on a fight-by-fight basis, allowing the best matchups to happen without business politics getting in the way.
But if I had to pick one instant change to improve boxing? Bring back same-day weigh-ins. Fighters would be forced to compete closer to their natural weight, cutting down on extreme weight cuts and the size mismatches they create. Strict penalties for missing weight would be necessary, but it could also streamline divisions by eliminating unnecessary junior weight classes.
Same day weigh-ins is a damn good one.
Let's stop the charade of having a guy gain 20+ pounds from the time of the weigh-in to the night of the fight. This is all to gain an unfair advantage, when boxing is supposed to be designed so that guys fight other guys of equal size. Some well-known fighters have made a career of this nonsense, and when they are forced to fight someone their same size, they fail miserably.
I'm against ANYTHING that gives a fighter a leg up before the fight even starts.
Definite needed move is a unified commission in the Stats just for starters. Not sure how unified rules would be held up globally but as sport the commission-to-commission protocols should not be malleable and arbitrary. There are literally States who "borrow" commissions. One dead set rule set across the board. Smaller pet peeve but all judges need to be ring center and introduced exactly as the referee is. Put a face on the officials. HBO had a good run with it but today not so much. Instant replay needs to be a given also and automatic for KD's, cuts and other calls. The networks have everything to do with that as we've seen. And we need to bring Tecate and Top Rank girls back. "unofficial" fight night weight shaming needs to be a thing again. Bring back unofficial weights blasted out calling out the fatties. And no fighter should fight for a title unless fighting said division prior. Seems basic, but a fighter should have to wear the weight at least once before a title shot. The only wonder I have with same day weigh ins are that they have now made them their own pre fight event. Platforms hold full events for a press cycle. And whole generations have trained themselves to work weight or rehydration likewise. It would take some doing.
