Default Jake Paul vs Julio Cesar Chavez Jr undercard

Jake Paul and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr's undercard is looking strong after the addition of four new fights.

A WBA and WBO cruiserweight world title fight between champion Zurdo Ramirez and challenger Yuniel Dorticos has already been announced as chief support.

But the bill has been boosted further by the inclusion of a tremendous fight between Floyd Schofield Jr (18-0) and Tevin Farmer (33-8-1).

Schofield Jr is one of the lightweight division's most exciting young prospects while Farmer is a former IBF super featherweight title holder.

At 34-years-old Farmer proved he still has plenty left in the tank by causing top-rated contender William Zepeda all kinds of problems in a pair of nip-and-tuck defeats in November 2024 and March 2025.

Schofield, meanwhile, hasn't competed since his unanimous decision victory over Rene Tellez Giron last November.

He was due to return to the ring in February against Shakur Stevenson in a WBC lightweight title fight.

However, the bout got cancelled after Schofield Jr was deemed medically unfit to compete by doctors after coming down with a viral infection.

“Sharing the ring with former world champ Tevin Farmer is a huge opportunity for me to silence those who doubt me and my skills, and I know that I will come out with the win.”

Farmer added: “Kid Austin’s about to learn—my skills are different than anything he's ever seen.

“I’m knocking him out to teach him a lesson.”

Elsewhere on the bill, MVP's newest signee Avious Griffin (17-0) will take on Julian Rodriguez (23-1) in a welterweight clash while Raul Curiel (15-0-1) and Uruguay’s fellow undefeated fighter Victor Ezequie Rodriguez (16-0-1) compete in the same division.

Austin Schofield destroyed Farmer in the first round. Dropping him twice with a right hand and the second time with a left hook. The ref stopped the fight. Very impressive performance.

Jake is a joke and not a proper boxer who should be getting this much attention and money.

The only good thing about him is the under card and good fighters get paid well.

Chavez Junior is a waste of space.

Some of those fights on the undercard could be headline bouts within themselves.

My take on the limited amount of this fight that I’ve seen.
    1. I think all Chavez’s problems are in the head. Normally you would expect a fighter not in the best condition to start well and fade badly but Chavez lost the first 5 rounds and then battered Paul in the 9th & 10th. Odd.
    2. Paul is a very savvy human being and I have a lot of respect for him. But talking about future opponents ranging from Tank (relative midget) to AJ (relative giant) to Zurdo (legitimate World CW champ) to Tommy Fury (Rookie pro) is completely fucking ridiculous.
    3. Despite the above point, Paul is actually improving, and although I believe that Tank (yes, you heard right!), AJ and Zurdo all beat him, I actually think if he rematches Tommy Fury, he would probably beat him now!

Schofield did shine. In hindsight he really did make his own breakout fight and not taking Shakur thru illness...may have been very wise. He made a mark now and did something Shakur hasn't done in years, dominate and brutally stop a top ten legit fighter . And the man who just gave Shakur's next opponent hell for 22 rounds. Love to see Shakur rise up vs Zepeda and maybe what's left of a "stacked 135" can actually produce huge rivalries in the near future.
