Default How many current fighters are future Hall of Famers?

As of this moment I'd say the following guys were locks:

    RJJ
    Delahoya
    Hopkins
    PBF
    Tszyu
    Morales
    Barrera

Yep and maybe Corrales and Castillo for their up and coming trilogy? Pacman>? Joe Calzaghe? Winky Wright too ESPECIALLY if he beats JT.

If Winky beats Taylor, that would be 2 wins over Mosley, and one each over Tito and Taylor. Yeah, that should do it.

Calzaghe and Pacquiao need more big wins to pad their resumes. And so does Corrales.

Obviously BABABOOEY left out Trinidad by mistake.

Definitely the Pacman, James Toney too, I expect Tarver will make it by beating Hopkins as well.

Winky and Calzaghe are on the fringes.

    Will Mosely squeak in? Maybe........

Definitely NOT TARVER!!HELL NOOO! Well by today's standards,Chico has beaten some bloody good fighters:Casamayor,Castillo,Freitas,he has his great trilogy and the comeback from prison! Trinidad is not really current but he DEFINITELY needs to be in there.Pacman:MAB,stopped EM,drew with JMM-3 legends and he nearly destroyed them all that's good wnough for me. Calzaghe, unbeaten and unified champ although 1 more big fight would be good.,

Definitely Lennox Lewis. But the post is about active fighters. So with that in mind, I dont give too much credit to Tarver for beating an over the hill Jones, a guy with 9 losses in Johnson, and possibly an over the hill Hopkins.

I agree I don't much like Tarver either but I'm fairly certain that he will be inducted into the Hall of Fame within the next 20 years.........

I agree with Mr. Nightmare, too. Tarver's wins are against old, recycled versions of fighters who were great years ago.

Personally... I think Gatti should be there. He is the dictionary definition of what boxing's fans want to see in their fighter. Ultimate respect for the sport and for his fans, and he shows it whenever he can, the best he can. And if he wins his next fight, he is the undisputed welterweight champ of the world... say what you would like about Baldomir.

I think he is one of the more memorable fighters of this era... and so he should be remembered.

How about Mike Tyson? Don't think I saw him mentioned.

Boxing's Hall of Fame isn't like the NFL or Major League Baseball Hall of Fame. Virtually everyone get's in. Dwight Muhammad Qawi was 41-11-1 and he's in the hall of fame. Guys like Winky Wright, Antonio Tarver, and Arturo Gatti are already locks to get in.
